Got New Blackberry, Won't Pair

Hey everyone,

My first-ever post, but I've been a long-time reader. Thanks to a lot of you I ended up buying a 370Z. I love it of course. So thank you! Here's my question.

I just got a new Blackberry through work to replace my Pearl. It's a Bold 9700. My Pearl worked perfectly through bluetooth, but I've been unable to get my new Bold to pair with my 370. My phone never finds the car and vice versa. I've read all over the internet to delete my prior phone from the car. I can't figure out how to do it, though. When I press the phone button on the steering column or on the nav itself it automatically attempts to find a phone and all the options are greyed out. When it fails to find the phone it does not give me the option to do anything and quickly goes back to whatever audio source was playing. I've tried the battery reboot on the blackberry and that hasn't helped. I thought it might be the phone but I tried to pair my wife's iPhone and the same thing happened. Looks like it's the car. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, to remove the old phone, you don't go to the phone option. You press:
Setting > Phone > Bluetooth Setup > Remove Paired Phone

That did it! Once I deleted the old phone it managed to connect. Thank you. I guess that means that it's incapable of pairing two blackberries or you can only do it from the settings menu. Oddly enough, the official manual tells you to use the phone option and not settings. Thanks again!

I only help one person a year, so this is it for 2011.
