You made your car matte white? So basically it looks like white gel coat primer now? Wow, fail.

Mike 01-05-2011 07:21 AM

:gtfo2: seriously dude! he is trying to be different and he likes the matte look if that is what he wants he can do it. Honestly, I think the Matte white combo is unique and novel. Would I do it no but thats because I am addicted to my Pearl in my Pearl White. Again Great Job OP I hope you get to enjoy your new found wrap and definitely takes some good photos for us

thanks for the comment~I will get the pictures of the whole car once the weather gets better. The vinyl will definitely hold up to the weather for at least 5 years. This is my demo car for car wrapping, so we tuck the vinyl into every weatherstripping and seams it won't come off easily under any kind of weather condition. And Nitrouz u can definitely come and check it out when u have the time. I live in Richmond give me a shout if u wanna drop by. As to rims I'm still looking to go either CE28 genesis edition or the black RE30, but they r both very expensive hoping to see if there are any used one around. The material cost to do the whole car is around $1300 due many cf vinyl r used, so the price is higher than usual matte vinyl.

This foiling is so common here in Dubai and I can say blindly these do hold up very nicely.

Good work:tup:

this is such a waste of time and money.

JB-370z 01-05-2011 09:08 PM

That might get dirty easy.

Big J 01-05-2011 09:14 PM

The car looks sick! What did you do to tint the headlight lenses?

vividracing 01-05-2011 11:43 PM

awesome photos and awesome Z!! Love the Amuse Kit!

deolee 01-06-2011 12:09 AM

thanks again guys~ the headlight is actually a tinted film that u wrap on the headlight. Like some said that matte wrap is very popular and common nowaday, but I found most of them r matte black on the streets of Vancouver. I decided to go with matte white and some cf accents to stand out more. Some like it and some might not, but I'm not gonna say matte is cooler than the other. It all comes down to whatever how the look of the car is perceived by the crowd, it's the heart and the work of the owner that they put on their car is what matters. I will get the pictures of the whole car asap, but the weather here in Vancouver is just not that great for pictures. I will have pictures of my car with other matte-wrapped cars taken asap.

You know what's so lame about your response? That you're all over me because I'm the only person who said I don't like his car. Is there some sort of FAQ on this forum I missed that says that only complete back-slappery and fanboism is allowed here?

Seriously, if you do things to your car, some people aren't going to like it and if you post that stuff on an internet forum, some of those people are going to give you less than positive feedback.

I also liked that you went to the tried and true "different" and "unique and novel" lines. Perhaps I should do a rusted hood and roof rack on my car? I haven't seen that done on a Z yet. Since it would be "unique and novel", then by definition it would be awesome, right?

Actually, what set me off was your lack of respect and the fact that you dissed another member with Fail when all they are trying to do is share a tasteful modification! If you said "Man I really dont like that look or I think it looks ugly but thats my opinion" then chit I would have let it go because thats your opinion. But when you make snide remarks and put down a fellow member for trying something different and trying to innovate a new look for the car then my friend you are the a**hole... What you do with your car is your choice... if you want rusted hood and bike rack go for it. I will say thats different and I am not feelin it. However, you wont hear FAIL come out of my mouth about it. Why dont you try to be nicer to your fellow Z brothers instead of trying to be a smart a** **** about things. With all that said I dont care to carry on this convo and detract from the OP's Thread. If you want to take this up with me PM me and I will be more than happy to end the conversation there.

Sweet bro good to see that you are using your car for a canvas to express your style and taste ! I found that white comes out really good with graffiti in the background. I think it makes the white pop maybe if you have some nice artwork somewhere you can take pics there... either that or the trusty parking deck shots ;)

Holliday 01-06-2011 12:53 PM

I think everything looks great! The only thing the throws the flow off for me is the side skirts :icon14: I think you should do them matte white
