Instrument Brightness Control
Not working! With the headlights on and pushing either increase brightness or decrease brightness has no effect. Recently the battery was disconnected and I had to reset the power windows. Any reset procedure for the instrument panel brightness control (you know the two little black buttons to the right of the combination meter)? Any suggestions other than take it to the dealer for inspection? Everything else seems to be working fine.

Push the start button to the on position without having to actually turn the engine on, and press the brightness control up or down. I just tested it and mine works fine

^^^ Tried it, nope, not working. Relay/dimmer not working?

Any updates?
I'm having the same issue, though mine does occasionally work. I would have to double check this, but it almost seems as though when I drive somewhere it does not work at all, but on my way back (after turning off the engine, etc) it does. It's not a huge inconvenience but noticed it acting weird and would like to figure out if I'm missing something or if there's an issue. I know for a fact several times while driving the buttons had no effect and other times they worked fine, frustrating. |
1. Some settings are not changeable while your car is moving. Try again after you have come to a stop.
2. I think the brightness is not adjustable while there is daylight out, only in the dark Also if i remember correclty the adjustments are pretty subtle if you just do one click at a time. Try holding them down for second. |

1) You can definitely adjust it while the car is moving, I've done it many times with no problem.
2) I didn't see anything in the manual regarding daylight, but it's worth testing out. |
