Anyone damage a lip yet?

I was buy my girls a Christmas gift at game stop with the wife. Found a spot next to the store. There was a parking block there so my on board radar told me to keep a safe distance. My wife kept telling me I was too far out. I said it's fine but she kept insisting I move up more.:argue: This went on for a couple minutes till I said "fine I'll move up"! Move a couple of inches more then, bump! F**k! F**k! F**k! She felt so bad that she'll pay to get it fixed. It's only been on for a week and half. I knew it was bound to happen but not so soon you know? Its not that big but I know it there. Should of just told her to zip it lol!

oh darn.
you know, "she'll pay to get it fixed" means that you'll pay to get it fixed, since you two are married.

Ooh! So easy to do with the Z. I just barely cleared a curb today under similar circumstances (except no one was yelling at me except the voices in my head). Put some nice scratches under the lip.

The guy painted my lip is going to fix it for me tomorrow. He said it'll take about a day. Thinking of what else to do to the front end while it there.

That's really very little damage. What's the point of parking so close to the curb? The z is a short car, better to park far away than too close. My lip is just fine.

Wait.. you listen to your wife?

kellyefields 12-20-2010 07:31 PM

that does not look all that bad a little paint and it would be as good as new. I didnt see an entire front of your car but with the carbon fiber lip in the center there have you considered to paint your fangs? Black would really pop on that yellow and shoot while your at it go for the rear around the exhaust at the same time. Since she feels bad about it you could probably get away with it with little to no argument. Good luck with the repairs.

ps maybe you could talk here in to getting you a rear back up camera so you can back into spots, preventive expense????

Yeah I was thinking about painting the fangs but it won't match the carbon. Maybe overlay carbon on it? I will spray the rear black though!

Next time tell your wife to step out and spot you while you pull up I guess. :(

if you're not too picky you can prime it and just touch it up. i doubt many people will even notice it... i mean lips are kinda expected to have that 'broken in' look. :D

It is my chin spoiler that is ground down a little more every day. It will get worse when I install the coil overs I am sure.
