About 5 months. By the time it came in I wasn't even excited anymore hehe. I waited four more weeks before I had it installed.

It's been nearly 3 months since I ordered my AbFlug rear bumper, Varis hood, & Central 20 side skirts. I'm hoping the hood and side skirts will arrive early January......the rear bumper......not sure yet.

Sounds like a plan, just remember your Sport wheels are still worth something with a good set of tires that you could sell here on the forum.

Regarding offset, you don't need spacers for your wheels if you order the correct offset unless your wheels are discontinued and you have no choice but running them or they won't clear your brakes.

PM me once you determine a budget and I can help you find a set of wheels

I think we should go back to talking about the varis diffuser instead of rim offsets. Not trying to be rude, but just sayin' :ugh2:

Greed 12-27-2010 09:19 PM

Thanks, I'll take you up on that. I ordered custom wheels for one of my turbo Eclipses back in the '90s that must have been the wrong offset b/c they made the tires stick out. It looked bad. I never want to do that again.
For those who are interested, I added a few new pics in an effort to answer some questions.

LOL it happens, we can make sure it doesn't happen again.

^ lol, oh and "greed" thanks for the pics at different angles. Does that gap bother you? I'm thinking about getting this diffuser, but since you painted it all the same color, it's kinda hard for me to picture it with the sides painted white with the rest carbon. Can any one Photoshop the car white with the diffuser black?

Yw. :tiphat: The gap does bother me a little. I won't lie. But there is no way this particular part is going to mount flush in that area -- couldnt even force it if you wanted to. The FRP is very solidly constructed.

What bothers me more is the 3M tape the body shop put in there. Like me, they probably thought it would mount flush all the way around but there is no reason for that tape to be there. It also looks like they wedged in the tape behind the bridge as an afterthought. They probably didnt realize that was the only area that needed tape until after they had mounted it. Now that I think about it, I did wonder why Varis supplied such a small roll of 3M tape with the part. An illustrated instruction sheet was also included but the text was in Japanese.

Still, I sort of feel like I'm nitpicking now. I am very satisfied overall. The diffuser flows with my other aero parts even better than I hoped it would.

Also, when I was trying to get underneath the car I noticed a couple more fasteners. That makes five screws overall, not three like I said earlier.

I think it could be that Varis is a Japanese company and the Japanese Fairlady Z comes factory equipped fog light as well as European models. In the attempt to make a profit Varis wanted to make the spoiler appealing to other markets outside of the US

kevr6 06-04-2012 07:23 PM

Instead of filling the holes from the stock spoiler what did you put in them?
