I've always wondered about bigger people fitting in these cars. Especially taller guys. I guess there's not to many issues though. I'm 5'6 200lbs so no issues there. I love the fit of the seats. I really loved my sparco's I had in my 350. Really snug in the bolster area.

200 miles and road rash on my hips

Had I known about the seats and how they fit - I never would have bought the car. This is not support - it's pain. btw, I'm 5'11 and 230#

You didn't sit in the car before you purchased it?

BboyZ 10-11-2016 01:16 AM

I was wondering, didn't you test drive the CAR first before buying?

OptionZero 10-11-2016 02:27 AM

sounds like the problem isn't the seats . . . i am sure there is a dealer nearby who can sell you a spacious minivan that will be plenty comfy?

This thread is hilarious, it's a sports car, how do you complain about the seats AFTER sitting in it, test driving it, AND purchasing it? It has no backseat, one cup holder, poor visibility, damn I thought it was a mini van..............

I'm 6' 210lbs and fit just fine with room to spare.

6'-1" 230+ and no issues for over four years and 65K miles of daily driving. Eight hours straight with one stop for gas even. And that was twice in one day (Austin to Ft. Davis and back).

I fit just fine with a helmet on the track as well. Although it seems my helmet is pretty much touching the headliner; I do wonder how some of the taller guys who race fit.

Only thing I hated about the stock base seats was the lack of Lumbar support with my screwy back. Easily fixed with a set of Corbeaus. Much comfier in general than stock

I understand that its not a luxury car but at least make it a little bit more comfortable like the STi sets. they are extremely comfortable.
I love my Z and everything but yeah, I also hate the stock seats. I have managed to get used to them nonetheless :tiphat:

This. But I "fixed" the lumbar issue with a back-support cushion. Slightly embarrassing for a while but perfectly functional.

6'1" 210 no other issues with the seat. They did fit more snugly when I bought the car and I was 20-25 lb heavier--but not enough to really complain about.

This is a 6 yr old thread LOL.

Stop wearing high waist jeans and 4 ply leather belts. BTW, these seats fit me better than my G37 seats. Waaaay more comfortable.

Now I also sat on both a Nismo Juke and a Bride seat. Both seats feel great.

What if i like wearing high waist jeans?

The problem is not the seats. The problem is the person sitting in the seats. I don't mean to be a ****, but it's true. Seats not comfy? Drop 20 pounds and try again. I'm confused as to why people are blaming the vehicle when they can easily fix the problem themselves, without spending money- if they so choose.

Personal accountability. It's a thing.

Actually, three cup holders. Well, the ones in the doors are actually for water bottles, but still. ;)

We did a 9 hour round trip a couple months back, and not one single issue for either of us. I'm 6'1" and 230 lbs, my brother 6'4" and 180 lbs (recently loss 30 lbs in 8 weeks due to chemo).

The only issue I have is getting out of the car. I have a tendency to have to push off the steering wheel in order to get out. Also, having to lean way over towards the passenger seat to swing my left leg in when getting in. Maybe it's due to my gut. I'm not exactly fit these days. :wtf2:
