370Z Led License Plate

Hi all,

I want to replace my original led license plate.

anyone tell me how to replace it?

your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Same as 350Z.

Look underneath where the lights are. Press one side of the license plate light housing to unlatch and pop it out.

^^^ yup what he said. easy as pie.

Yup I replaced mine. pretty easy, just pop one of the latch (white color) and you can remove the white cover. pull the bulbs and insert your LED bulb. It's that easy.

LED bulbs

Has anyone bought LED bulbs from http://store.ijdmtoy.com?
I would like to know how good are the LED bulbs and how reliable is the website.
I plan to buy those LED bulbs to replace the map, trunk , and license plate lights.

For the license plate? It's very easy but if you want me to make a step by step DIY with comparison pics, I can do one as soon as I get my bulbs. They are in transit.

I bought from V-leds. I sent the sales department few emails and pictures of my bulb area and we ended up with 2 possible fit. I ordered the first kind. I am going to let you guys know if it fits or no.

Installation guide

Here is a link to a website that has a lot of installation procedures for most light bulbs on different car models. It does not have any for 370z yet but it should be similar to the 350Z and G37.

This one doesn't look bad from your website

iJDMTOY JDM Xenon White/Ultra Blue/Brilliant Red T10 Wedge Light LED bulbs for Map, Dome, Parking City Lights, Sidemarkers or side door courtesy lights

I may give that a try if the ones I ordered from vleds doesn't fit. I ordered this one:

2 HID 5K WHITE SMT 5 LED LIGHT BULBS 194 168 158 2821

Those multi-LED bulbs have a short life and still emit a narrow beam with hot spots. Since they're a bit complicated to make, cold solder is highly likely and will show up over time when the bulb simply quits working.

The closest thing to recommending something is from SuperBrightLEDs:
High Power SMD WLED Car Bulb specs

The one that uses a single surface mount LED should be sufficient.
