damn!! i'd be pissed!!

And as humans, they should be held responsible for their mistakes.
|
ah the joys of letting audio shops touch a car.... something i havent done since i was 16 and never would again.
|
Yea that is a common issue with poor installs. I have seen this happen a lot. If the installer looked closer at the car's firewall there is a free grommet on the passenger side behind the battery. You can then reach it behind the blower motor ect. I used this grommet for my blinder laser jammer install. Do it properly and you will not need any silicone. (still not a bad idea to use some on the grommet just make it look neat and clean) Hate to see new cars get ruined with carelessness. Get them to correct their mistakes. Good Luck.

Soaked from amp install
Just found my carpet on driver's side was soaked. Took to dealer, they checked A/C drain and found partially plugged. Also found the power wire for my amp was ran through firewall by removing large firewall grommet on drivers side instead of running wire through grommet. :shakes head:
Am now in the process of drying carpet after wire was reinstalled the correct way (through the grommet). WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE????? |
all of you with the shops causing this ****, make them pay dude.
Striaght up, no excuses, why woudl you pay 2g's almost when it wasn't your fault. |
We have been having a bunch of rain the last couple of months, and I have started smelling something in the mornings too. I hope my stuff isn't ruined. What is the first thing I should check, and where is it located? Thanks.
|
Dang. No stereo install happening here. Atleast not by any of the installers in my town.
|
wow man that sucks. Another reason why i dont let anyone touch my car. I dont understand why you people who take your cars to shops dont just get on the internet and research. The damn internet is a ******* shop!

I have this same issue!!! Passenger side under the mat. Gonna check the cowl and ac drain

Check around the wiring harness boot on the passenger side. That's where mine was leaking on the drivers side. The crazy thing is I never once even touched that boot, and it started leaking randomly. Put a little silicon around it and it solved the problem.
|
Sounds good. I'm almost positive it's rain related not ac also. And I did swap the motor out about a month ago so that whole harness was taken out. Maybe the grommet isn't sitting right.

Driver's side floor soaked
I guarantee you that's it. Pull it and seal it with some silicone. Problem solved.
|
Got it the grommet under the cowl wasn't clipped in. Awesome!
