Blindspot Problem Fixed..or atleast made better

Hello! Thought this might be a good purchase if your having issues seeing out the back.

No Blind Spot Rear View Mirror | Auto & Hardware | SkyMall

frost 11-14-2010 06:40 PM

And it's so attractive.

Cmike2780 11-14-2010 06:48 PM

not big enough and all you would see is the b/c pillars. nice try though :)

crash1369 11-14-2010 06:50 PM

Skymall, you got me again :rofl2:

Have you used that before, or anything like it? They have been selling mirrors like that in the junk isles of stores for as long as I can remember, there's a reason there isn't any OEM's using them. I've tried them and never liked them, I find them to be even worse on cars with limited visibility. It doesn't make the window or viewable area any bigger it just makes the viewing area bigger. So you see more of the sides of the window, and they make everything look smaller.

But if you want to give it a shot you can usually find them in the auto parts stores for much less money

khern11 11-14-2010 06:50 PM

:iagree:

its hideous and it cost $60.

Also, if someone tries to steal your Z, you can beat the shit out of them with that large club masquerading as a mirror.

The lines you could do off that mirror would kill an elephant.

Jordo! 11-14-2010 07:55 PM

Think I'd rather invest my money in the video recording sunglasses also advertised there.

crash1369 11-14-2010 07:57 PM

you could always add a rear view camera

Use the proper mirror set-up method that eliminates blindspots. You still have to guess how close you are to objects behind you when you are parking for example, but having the side and rearview mirrors adjusted to cover the outside lanes works great. Do a search, it has been discussed here before.

I think that mirror looks fine!

crash1369 11-14-2010 08:03 PM

I found the "Biometric Vehicle Starter" to be very intriguing, it even looks for a pulse so that nobody can chop off your hand to steal your car

Has anyone else ever been to the skymall? It's actually pretty nice. It's floating at 50,000ft over western Kentucky. It took engineers 70 years to build and is only reachable by aviation. It has a starbucks and a mcdonalds of course.

But the location really sucks. I mean, apart from the occasional helicopter pilot, it's desolate. And it's staffed by a bunch of snooty teens whose parents can afford jetpacks for their kids.
