I completely agree with you Mr. Jeff Blue... You are right it is all good fun, and I don't mind the ribbing it is the stupidity about talking bad about the military... SO that is what is upsetting... I was asking this because when i come home and i want to ride my z with some others i dont want to hear about the doors....

See i ride motorcycles R-1 and love it and you always find people who love to ride, and i am hoping to find that to... U know it is all about the ride...

you know, its not like anyone is trying to make fun of the military. honestly, you could have said you work for a non-profit that helps raise money for children with cancer and also volunteer as an EMT on weekends and people would make fun of you for it (ok, maybe not THAT but you know what i mean). at this point people are just trying to get under your skin. so no, its not really. about you being in the military.

Well i got the rims picked out, the headunit for the inside and speakers that are going to replace bose.

I am going to go with 19x5 in the front and 19x10 in the back.

I want to lower it but dont want to lose the ride quality..

depends on how much you want to spend. Springs are good but for ride quality and adjustment go with coilovers. I did it the hard way. Went with springs and then coilovers. And when you drop it with coilovers get a rear camber kit to help out the camber and tire wear.

Definitely go with springs for ride quality. H&R, Tein, Eibach, ect. Really just depends on the drop you want.

Ok, so go with coilovers, but what size rims do you have on your Z... I am thinking about 19's

Hey man. You are going to get lots of opinions in both directions. There is tons of information on this forum. Try searching and see what works best for you.

19's are good. I went with 20's. If I wanted 19's I would kept it with stock rays.

running KW V3 coilovers and I love it. Its night and day compared to springs.

I love how people talk smack about the military on the internet. I'd love to see someone do that to a serviceman in person. Hell, do it in front of me and I'll correct you and I've never served.

i'd go with wheels+lower the car with coilovers and install a camber kit for the rear and if necessary (if you lower enough) for the front. After that, you gotta decide whether you want to go all out on performance. You can go the rout of bolt ons, (full bolt ons and a tune is gonna cost you 3k about. Or if you really want to drop money on a serious power increase, go forced induction. But yea, wheels and a drop are going to make your car look better and make you appreciate it more than lambo doors. When they are closed, even if you like them, it looks exactly the same as regular doors, where as wheels and a drop really distinguish the car. and a body kit is always an option too if you want to spend more money on asthetics. but honestly, wheels and a drop should be done before any body kit.
