Lol ya, I'm really suprised there are not that many diffusers on the market. There are plenty of front lips & side skirts tho. I'm just gonna wait till sema, hopefully a miracle will shine through all the bs, lol

Dan Z Man 10-25-2010 11:04 PM

me too dude! yeah, hopefully sema brings us some goodies..i was doin some lookin around, and to be honest, the 350 has some nice diffusers..idk what the deal is with the 370 though..like it was instantly popular and basically the only way to go is by having the stick on 'diffusers' ..idk, hopefully something will happen soon

i'm not saying that concept is bad, not at all, i just feel like that is basically like what is already out there ya know, or at least close too

I seriously think the only way to Achieve the look we want is to change out the whole bumper like on the tamon design 370Z. That ferrari's diffuser is def the real deal, it looks sooooo sick, lol

For those wondering about the Tamon design. Well it looks like I got beat. :p

Dan Z Man 10-26-2010 04:08 PM

yeah now that's a diffuser! lol...too bad the rest of the kit is ugly ;)

NewYorkJon34 10-26-2010 05:23 PM

You notice tho on that kit, the whole rear changes the line of the car and the rear fenders & gas cap needs to be changed.

Dan Z Man 10-26-2010 08:43 PM

yeah i do notice that actually, another thing i don't like about it is the circled part..idk i cant describe it, it just looks weird for some reason, like it doesn't flow.

I believe most of these examples will not be functional without the rest of the ground effects components for the under body and in some cases they could actually make the car unstable at high speeds.

NewYorkJon34 10-26-2010 09:25 PM

Well no one really knows if the tamon designs is functional, were there any tests done?

theDreamer 10-26-2010 09:26 PM

No, it is more of a 'show' body kit really.

yes this could be true, which is why people need to step up their game COUGH COUGH password jdm COUGH COUGH...for instance, the have a full underbody system going on for the s2000, i was super super close to buying it when i had my s2k, i'm glad i didn't because i decided to get the Z (so glad i did :D )

here's a pic or 2....please PWJDM make some legit parts for our cars, the intake system they make for the s2k is gorgeous, if they can make something like that for our Z...omfg ::drool::

it's kinda hard to describe, the circle i drew should have been brough down more..i feel like the bumper is to much of like a slant kinda, cant really explain it

Cmike2780 10-26-2010 10:02 PM

Not to sound negative, but would a functional full diffuser really benefit most of us interested. It's a cool idea, but most of us here would buy one for aesthetic reasons rather than lower lap times.... for that, the various ones out there are suffecient.

NewYorkJon34 10-26-2010 10:10 PM

Ya, we all basically want function with the design of the tamon kit, but with the ease of install in the fujimura/evo-r kit. In other words, wait till sema, lol

Couldn't agree with you more, BUT, lets talk technical, from a legal/law stand point, most people shouldn't really be doing anything to their cars, for instance, going force induction, a lot of people that buy SC or Turbo kits are daily drivers or don't track their car, basically just to have it and/or have spirited drives etc..

why spend $3,000 on legit Advan RS rims or any light weight rim for that matter when you can get 'knock-offs' for a hell of a lot less, when most people are doing it for looks, rather than save 2-3 pounds on un-sprung weight. even though i am one of those people who would actually get the legit rims over the knock-offs(i don't think there's anything wrong with knock-offs, i personally just would like the legit ones)

Also, the people that buy 1700mm Voltex spoilers for their car and never been to a track..personally, i'm the type of guy that likes aesthetics plus functionality, regardless if i go to a track or not ya know, i happen to plan on going to tracks in the near future, but that's not what I'm getting at lol, so yea, that's my little story, some people, if not most, would like to have it, just to have it, or for looks, or functionality

I'm sure there is stuff im forgetting but i think we all get the gist of it :)

The rear I ordered appears to have a real diffuser/valence.....it won't arrive for 8 to 12 weeks but it sure looks real.....I could be wrong:

AbFlug Vanguard rear bumper

You getting a whole new bumper ? Are just the diffuser ?

That's the whole setup.....so that's why I'm not 100% sure if it's two parts or just one. On the Bulletproof website it shows the entire bumper in the photos so I'm assuming this could be all one piece and it was just painted to look like a rear diffuser. Whatever it is, I ordered it and it's on the way! :bowrofl:

Looked again and they don't have a separate listing for an AbFlug Vanguard diffuser so.....I'm guessing its all together as one and just painted.

Dan Z Man 10-26-2010 11:21 PM

wow so weird, i hadn't seen ABflug's body parts for the z up until yesterday, and then now you post saying you ordered it..weird how stuff like that happens..but yeah, i think it's the bumper itself, looks pretty good to me, when the time comes post some pics :)

:bowrofl: Small world, huh? Yeah, def will get photos up once the item arrives and is installed. All this should be done before the end of the year....I hope. :icon17:

Dan Z Man 10-26-2010 11:34 PM

sounds like a good goal, cant wait to see it on an actual car rather than abflug itself
