What's the plastic (above the "fangs") on the front bumper for? Can I remove it?

it also covers up the metal bumper and the foam bit.

Ah ok, so it's functional. I was curious but didn't want to take it off and find out I had to put it back on.
Thanks for the insight fellas. |
You can't remove it. It's part of the bumper.
I am sure, over time, this piece will get painted body color by body shops that do not know. Just like it was done on the 300ZX Z32... |
If so that's a bummer cause it'll look like crap.
I like the people that have painted that entire area black. http://media.photobucket.com/image/w...91101-1212.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/alexp...drag-event.jpg http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4004/...672f0a23_o.jpg |
The top pic is a carbon fiber overlay, and the bottom pic is painted. They also make a carbon fiber overlay for the area you first questioned.

if you pull the black part hard enough the whole bumper will pull off. :icon14:

Did anyone have any problems with the fangs? I got mine off of the Zstore and they have a little bit of more carbon fiber on the top that I think needs trimmed down but i'm nervous to cut into them. Also I just got the diffuser and didn't know if I need to apply the silicon that came with it or if I would need to remove my JDM fog and then place it back in after installing the diffuser. Any help would be greatly appreciated guys. Thanks

:tup:It also mounts the license plate frame if you're silly enough to use one...
