I got Invisicord and Mike's mount for my V1. It's got a pretty clean look to it.
|
wow thats pretty clean... got any pix?
|
I would recomend the blenmount bracket and invisible cord.
The bracket is $79 - expensive but it's well built, compact, and adjustable. You can use the coupon code FRIEND to get $10 off. http://www.blendmount.com/valentine.html http://www.blendmount.com/valentine.html |

Got mine exactly like that with it hardwired to the fusebox by the clutch. With the mount from countryjoycrafts

This hands down is the sickest install I've seen on the V1:

I got it really fast and for a good price. After I install it I'll do a review. I him from THIS POST. wembleysells.com |
Check my album. Its in there somewhere. I like my V1 next to the cluster.

I just saw that V1 mirror on his site when I was researching and thought it was a clean install. Looks factory. |
anyone know where to get that z logo?
|
I'm just wondering if it is at all possible to mount the v1 unit behind the front bumper at all (stably) and wire it up to that v1 display rearview mirror.
|
I believe the V1 needs line of site from front to rear, otherwise you don't get rear alerts which defeat the purpose of the V1.

That HomeLink mirror with V1 display is awesome, wish I new about that before. I am using my V1 mounted under my OnStar mirror, need to raise the V1 up closure to the mirror. For electrical connection I tucked the 12v & GND wires up in the head liner by lowering it with a plastic pry tool. Then behind the curtain airbag and then to the 12V ignition on 10A fuse by clutch.
