Hope the fitment with mine is as good as yours.

i am sure it is, treesmedyzee. made in japan means something still.

i suggest you kind of 'practice' how you're going to pull the sides over and the bottom before you peel back the tape lining. :) if you just gently place it on the bumper it looks like the evor's finish picture. :icon14: :rofl2:

you have to slightly 'stretch' it open, and let the tape tack down real nice. then the fitment is perfect.

Did you spray any soapy water (like they do on window tinting) to keep if from grabbing too quickly?

i wanted full strength, so no solution. i just aligned the diffuser to my fog lamp, then pulled the ride side bottom, attached it to the bumper. then the left side bottom same thing, then along the top at the end.

at the top i used one long tape. i peeled back the liner about 2" on each side, and folded the liner outward so that i can grab and pull it off while mounting the diffuser about 4-5" at a time to the bumper. :)

after all the liners were off, at the very end i gave it a good push counting to 30 a section at a time. and repeated that 4-5 times. the adhesive needs to be squashed in order to become fully active.

Cool. Thanks for all of your diffused wisdom :roflpuke2:
Picked mine up at the Post Office this morning. Did a quick fit and the thing is perfect.
For those who want one, I ordered from RHDJapan on July 11th and they tried to deliver yesterday. A little over $450 shipped. Nobody in the U.S. that I could find could even touch the price.

i bought mine through japanparts.com

much better service. and not sure if they are still having them on sale, but fujimura stuff were all on sale a week ago at japanparts.com

I just ordered mine tonight (carbon fiber), supposed to be 25-28 days before I receive, but will be well worth the wait.

OldFart 09-08-2013 12:24 AM

Just got my e-mail from JapanParts.com that my Fujimura CF diffuser has shipped. Not sure how long it will take to get here, but so far more than happy it regards to notifications and time frame (2 1/2 weeks from the time I ordered it).

sounds good. with the obon holiday last month in Japan, that probably took the extra week. usually i get my stuff within 7-10 days arriving in the USA. :)

just an update on the VHB. no issue with the diffuser coming off. the tape is very strong. :D

madwi 09-08-2013 03:25 PM

I kinda want this. Not sure how it will look on granma red though. Anyone good with photoshop? :D

OldFart 09-13-2013 09:45 AM

Installed and ready to roll....

Just installed this morning, fit was great and as far as I can tell it isn't coming off. Think this is the only viable option for magnetic black. The weave looks awesome. Going to try and put the spats on this weekend if the weather cooperates. Except for one other mod, the body should be pretty much done.

I doubled up the tape along the top as you told AK to do, once it grabbed it wasn't going to let go. I can't complain at all about the fitment though, along with the price. Spats are next, already painted so just a matter of installing, but I wanted to get this on first.

I used the clear 3/4" 3m VHB, bought it off of amazon. I think I bought the 15yard version since I had the EVOR front lip, this and the spats to do..

sounds good. that might be the same one Beemaz used. :D

i suggest you guys put a dab of thread-lock blue on the mounting bolts that go on the bottom since you dont want to crank the fasteners too tight (can crack the resin).

Need educated patience help

Need experienced advice. I just got my car back from the bodyshop yesterday and I've had my Fujimara diffuser staring at me for one and a half months and I'm dying to install it. Should I wait for awhile and let the paint cure a bit? The bodyshop told me to wait two months before I waxed, etc.

I don't want to mess up the paint with the VHB tape, so I need advice. Either you feed my addiction or teach me patience.

Im just curious why was the thread of Evor 370z rear diffuser the link on your page 1 post is already closed?

Any of our sponsored dealers authorized distributor of fujimura rear diffusers?

speedfreek 04-27-2015 01:45 PM

I will be following this guide hopefully in a few weeks when my Fujimura diffuser finally shows up.

I ordered 5 yards of the 3M 5952 (0.75 inch wide) tape for the job.

Should I have ordered a different width? 0.75 in. seems to be what most everyone else has used.

Also was there any prep work to the clear coat needed? Or just install it straight out of the box?

How many of you actually drilled holes for the smaller screws?

acelesson 04-17-2016 07:29 PM
