no thank you..

I'm not feeling them, BUT, those are horrible pictures, and they may look better on another color, versus the blue one shown. Black on white, white on black, black on red maybe.

Nikon FM 03-01-2009 10:55 AM

Maybe on black so they would not be noticed as much.

I'm sure the strips shapes relative to the cars lines will get worked out and look pretty good at some point. I'm not into those stripes though.

LiquidZ 03-01-2009 11:55 AM

Sorry, not a muscle car.

trema 03-01-2009 12:07 PM

I saw that auction and threw up a little in my mouth. That is just wrong.

SoCal 370Z 03-01-2009 12:08 PM

Too much of an Americanized theme for me.

frost 03-01-2009 12:15 PM

^ just missing the scoop in the hood ;]

epod86 03-01-2009 12:35 PM

IMHO, waaay too much stripe for the car. And why would you want matte black?

dad 03-01-2009 01:05 PM

"Individualism", that's what I call that,"the stripes"! I knew some one would come up with them. The indenture in the hood and roof. The 370 might look good with stripes.

m4a1mustang 03-01-2009 01:08 PM

No, No, No! I think you can pull off that stuff with Mustangs but, IMO, this car shouldn't wear stripes at all.

dad 03-01-2009 01:26 PM

It needs some experimentation. I stated,"might look good". It may look like s..t!

frost 03-01-2009 01:28 PM

Lines on a car can be appealing, as long as they are done right. But fat stripes on this car doesn't seem to flow well. Again, this is based off the horrible pictures and poor coloring choices.

inTgr8r 03-01-2009 02:03 PM

Sorry... not feelin' it at all

If you were to "individualize" this car with vinyl I can only think of three or four reasonable choices.

-Whole center roof section in black (I'm probably going to do this)
-A-pillars in black (may look like the GT-R, but the way the hood, fender, and a-pillar merge wouldn't make for an attractive transition)
-Front center of bumper in black (again, like the GT-R. I think Amuse did this and I liked it)
-Rear Apron could look good in flat black

Notice the conspicuous absence of rally stripes?

Exactly...
Sadness, indeed.

kdo2milger 03-02-2009 01:46 AM

I agree, its not an american muscle car.

These stripes are better served on those types of vehicles...

I have always been drawn to american muscle cars, so seeing these stripes made me think exactly that.

but as stated by most, its just not the right setup for this car...

Crash 03-02-2009 04:44 AM

Ick... I didn't like the stripes on my Formula either and that WAS American Muscle.

I like the clean look of the z without the stripes.
