I've been waiting on The 370Z Source to get the new ones in that are on their web site. Anybody know when that will be?

I want to pull the nissan emblems off, paint them black then reattach. What kind of adhesive to I need to use to stick the emblems back on?

That's something I pondered. My budy with a 240Z joked about it and was kinda surpised when I told him it was a cool idea. He started rooting through his parts drawers right away ;)

3M double sided tape. Servo tape from a hobby shop would work as well probably.... they have a clear thin one out now instead of the old school black/grey stuff.

You forgot a poll choice: Desire to remove or change is dumb.

I also wet the floss with Goo Gone to make it even easier to slice it through the glue. Once the emblem is removed, I removed the bottom glue layer by slowly rolling off the glue with my finger or cotton towel from one end to the other end. Then I used Goo Gone to clean up whatever left over. This took me only 15 minutes. I have not tried to remove the “Nissan” emblem because it may have holes and waiting for the Z logo to replace it with. I hope this helps.

i did the exact same thing when i put the fairlady z emblem on my car! :icon17:

I guess this is as good a place as any for this noob ?...

What is the point of the 'fairlady'? Is that a special package/body style or part line for the Z?

I know, I know super-noob ? but this will be my first venture into the Z world so just trying to see where it comes from...

I hope they sell it, it would look killer!

Aren't the front and rear emblems the same size? I would love to replace both Nissan badges on my ride with these...

Here's a shot of the 370 rear emblem laid over thebackside of the larger "Z" front one. (The red is the 3M sticky tape) You can see the front is fractionally larger. I'm thinking the larger will rest flush on the bumper, rather than being recessed like stock. I'm about to try this when my car comes back from the body shop with a new rear bumper (minus the emblem mounted). If it's not quite big enough to stick around the edges, I've already cut a 1/8" filler piece to mount in the recess and it will stick to that. I'll do an update on this when the car is back.

Fric did you replace the hamburger in the back as well? That is what I am interested in seeing. If not, do you know where I can get a Rear Emblem that fits accordingly?
