Who can wrap an interior piece for me in real CF?
I have a Metra aftermarket faceplace piece that I need wrapped in real Carbon Fiber. I tried the 3m Carbon vinyl wrap twice and It just doesnt come out good imo. The 3 dials/circles are just too much for the fake CF vinyl to handle.
Im looking for someone that is good at wrapping pieces in real CF and giving it that clean/glossy look. Respond in this thread or a PM me if you know you can do it, thanks everyone :tiphat: |
wrap with real cf???? is that even possible?
|
Yah, it's possible. Check out some of the youtube vids where some UK guy shows how to DIY a real CF wrapping kit.
Is it really the DiNoc's limitation or the installer, NYJohn? ;) jk |
Its not as easy as it looks. I try wrapping my cover in carbon but just couldnt the carbon to lay stay down on the first and third dial, even with it being tacky. I know 370ztune said they have people that do the wrapping, not sure the pricing.

did you see these ones? They're pretty nice... actually had them a while back. Although I never did any interior stuff.

Real carbon fiber is messy work and requires some thickness, otherwise just becomes brittle. You would need to use your faceplate as a mold. The carbon fiber would then be attached with adheasive. Unless you can find a faceplate already in CF, Di Noc is the only realistic option. Did you try heating it?
