Still doesn't fit with the ears attached, but the rest fits fine without the ears.

YouTube - 100_1285.MOV - This video shows the gaps when I have the bumper installed with ears attached. I cannot get the clips on the upper center section of the bumper clipped at all because of how far forward it sits.

YouTube - 100_1286.MOV - This video shows when I try to get the clips under the headlights secure on one side, it pops the other side out due to poor fitment.

YouTube - 100_1287.MOV - I now removed the "ears" from the bumper. Notice everything seems to fit fine now. I was also able to use all of the clips on the upper center section of the bumper to secure it.

YouTube - 100_1288.MOV - a more distant view of the previous video

I sent these videos to Kyle and Josh on Saturday night. I received a response today around noon from Kyle stating that I need to secure the top lip of the bumper with the clips to avoid flexing of the bumper. The problem with this is that I cannot get the top lip secured with the clips with the ears attached.

hey i was looking at your video and the bumper need to clip under the headlight. Theres a small section under the headlight that needs to be clipped in.

If you clip one side it pushes the other side out and vice versa.

Caravanshaka 07-19-2010 02:43 PM

nope, they told me I'm installing it wrong, but only told me to install the clips in the top lip of the bumper that I can't maneuever the bumper into when the ears are attached.

How about Clipping one side and taping it down while you clip the other, then once the other side is clipped take the tape off... See if it works once both are clipped or if it springs out?

the_student 07-19-2010 03:09 PM

Pretty disappointing. I was about to jump the gun on this bumper also. Stillennnnn why??!?!?!!!? Make it in FRP lol.

kenchan 07-19-2010 03:10 PM

i would just return it and get something else...

Jamaica 07-19-2010 03:19 PM

I bet its a simple fix.

Caravanshaka 07-19-2010 03:19 PM

it's only simple if they replace the ears with shorter ones.

Jamaica 07-19-2010 03:20 PM
