How much did you pay for your tint job?
 

Tinting my windows will most likely be the first "mod" that I do. I need to know what a reasonable price to pay to tint my rear and side windows. Don't want to get ripped off, as our windows are so small. I'm set on 20% rear, 35% sides. CHP are a-holes here in Sac.

I paid $281 including tax. That was for ceramic tint at 25% all the way around.

$180 cash, everything except windshield

$125 for everything but the windshield. 20% tints

$200 Cash

25% Rear, Sides, Doors
40% Windshield

$140 Cash (including $20 tip)

35% UV Nano Tint on everything. Lifetime warranty. No gay bar on the windshield.

$280 with tax (9.5%), or something thereabouts. FormulaONE Pinnacle (ceramic) at 30% all around except the windshield. Came with a lifetime warranty.

homie hookup deal for me was $160 under the table(gave him $200 as its his personal business and he has a newborn)... for 20% Huper optik film, very high quality stuff.. He normally charges $350. Ill post pics tonight.. his trim work is perfect.

$295 for the good stuff (and shaving the tint on the window edges).. including a take it off, put it back on "warranty" for any tickets.. which of course I haven't gotten.

Hadn't gotten the kicker "warranty".. I'd probably be pulled over each week. :D

Mike's Tint Shop here in SoCal.. they do some crazy stuff, for almost every magazine out there..

The tint came on this one, but I had my 350 tinted, limo on the sides and the rear with a limo strip on the windshield. It was good quality tint, and the guy did an awesome job. Wanna say it was about $200, which is the most I've paid for tint.

My other cars in the last few years have been $115-150

EDIT: just to make sure people understand, good quality is not great quality. I chose some middle-upper grade stuff.

Around $280 -- overpriced, high quality 3M stuff.

$175 (+ tips). llumer tint done at Shades of Gray (highly recommended in tristate area)

Most shops will charge in the 200ish range around me, but I had a guy get mine done for $140. Llumar tint, 35% fronts, 20% rears.

We added it in after I did the contract on the car and they told me to pay the tinter directly when he did the car before I took delivery. He wasn't there, and they said they would have him contact me, but he never did. I assume the dealership paid it.

So, I got quoted $150 to tint the rear three windows and the two side windows. I think that sounds like a good deal. Anyone heard of Global Window Film brand?

I just got mine that last wednesday...
The funny thing is... it cost $100 for the tinting... and $100 for labor...
but I also got the sun strip as well... i think sun strip is a must!!!

paid 225 for f1 pinnacle ceramic tint. 15 percent all around. got such a good deal because i got my clear bra done there :)

get the sun strip... makes it really hard to notice the front tint thus making it less likely for a ticket... remember... its not question of will you get caught... its a question of when...

Old thread I know. However, I wanted to contribute to the thread.

Roadster: 20% 3M all around $300. 50% 3M for front windshield $75.

Paid $375 (more expensive then others; Roadster's a little more difficult Plus got top of the line for the weather here in HOTlanta ;)

There are no local places near me, so I negotiated an account with a distributor so I could by my own Llumar film and nice tools. Just started practicing on my cars and friends cars for something to do.

$100 for limo on all the windows and the strip on the windshield. It's my boys shop so he always takes care of me.

$100 the only thing Newark, NJ is good for cheap good tints.

150 with warranty, in chattsworth, cant remember the name right now
