Can you confirm what fits and what does not fit, thats the question.

i think they want to use the endcustomer as guinea pigs. :D

like how a lot of manufactures run qualification tests in the field. lol

Its funny that every piece is $192 unless its a big item. Sounds like they are very safely high in their profit margin that they dont have to adjust per piece. They look nice though.

if i give them my us spec pieces i want it done for free =]

fullmonty 07-14-2010 05:03 PM

Sure look nice

IMO The prices are pretty high for not being direct replacements. I like them and want it but not at those prices. I'm guessing the door switch plates are not gonna fit.

I kind of agree. I know its expensive to ship parts to Japan and back and have them wrapped in carbon sheets, but I dont think I would go for this if they were not Carbon fiber replacement pieces. I'm not really into covering up things in Carbon fiber, replacing them is a different story if the fit and finish is good. :hello:

Basically ya :tiphat:
We don't have a 370z demo car, otherwise I'd be a different story. We're not the manufacture, we're importers, so it's just about if you guys want them :)
I believe all pieces will fit except for maybe the gauge pod covers (since they're facing the opposite direction compared to JDM) and obviously the window switch covers.

Not sure about the safety margin; the cost is the same for us per piece. I don't feel it's wrong for a company to make money off the parts they took time to create though.

I haven't been able to find carbon interior pieces anywhere so it's difficult to comment on price unless there is a competitor the "Curious Models". These are definitely too cheap to be full replacements. It's rare to find a full aftermarket replacement because of the high cost to produce them. If sold in high volume, it could be made somewhat affordable but interior pieces aren't exactly a high volume item.

I agree with the flush look. I'd prefer not having a "stick on" piece, but the alternatives are expensive. The most realistic is a permanent overlay onto the OEM pieces. It turns out great, but requires the OEM piece to be sent out and has a few week downtime.

hey, at least you're honest! :)

metz 07-15-2010 05:15 PM

yeah the honesty is much appreciated

metz 07-15-2010 05:23 PM

actually i think the gauge caps would work. Im pretty sure they are the same just turned the other direction. The cap lids should in theory be interchangeable between both.

i think it might be too. even if it isn't you can break the tabs off and mount using 3M mounting tape. :)

here's wat mine looked like when i broke the tabs while trying to remove from the gauges. the tabs were no were at the locations indicated in the service manual illustration. :icon14:

Hey Mike do you still have a hookup with any other vendors offering this type of service or even with a compelete carbon overlay? I know GT-RR was offering this to the GTR owners. I'm interested in getting some pieces overlayed and I'm willing to send my stock ones out.
