This is just the lip I'm selling. The nose is stock.

NewYorkJon34 08-19-2010 09:23 AM

So if I use thinner tape then it should look even better correct? Why does that front carbon lip look like it has spots?

RedZed34 08-19-2010 09:52 AM

EVO-R, I thought the lip was going to be a 1 piece carbon fiber lip? Is that still going to happen in the final production?

kenchan 08-19-2010 10:42 AM

is there one coming for people who have CF fangs already installed?

RCZ 08-19-2010 11:18 AM

Is there a 1 piece FRP or ABS or better yet polyurethane version coming? If so, price?

Call me overly practical, but this thing is going to get pummeled by rocks so I'm rattlecanning mine with a few layers of satin black + clearcoat. Anything minor happens, sharpie it, anything major happens, bring the rattle can back out for a new layer of love.

kenchan 08-19-2010 11:24 AM

yep, i'd rattle can mine too using factory paint. will turn out very nice if done correctly.

NewYorkJon34 08-19-2010 12:54 PM

I'm not too worried about the paint, my painter is really good. I just don't want it to look rice, I'm gonna paint it white/carbon/white & hope for the best, lol

RCZ 08-19-2010 06:21 PM

damn if chuck had it we would have pictures already

NewYorkJon34 08-19-2010 06:56 PM

He has not even shipped it to me RCZ, so relax the pictures will come the day I have it installed.

The million dollar question is, what does it look like on the car. Im sure we will start to see pics poping up all over by the begining of next month.

I'm sure it will look pretty nice as it is not over extended from the bumper and I think that the carbon center piece adds some class.

There are no spots on the CF part. What you see might be CF reflections. See other pic of it different angle you don't see it. So this is okay to ship?

1 piece lip is been work on now. I told factory to make the 1 piece first. I guess they misunderstood me. I have push them on it.

Cuz the way the center section needs to be sit flat right against the center bumper it would be hard to trim to exact fitment. Cuz if one have the fang installed and did not push in all the way, I will not be able to tell how much to trim off the cente section. I still have to talk to factory about how to resolve this issue.

It will be in FRP, my factory don't have PU facility. If do it in PU will take even longer time cuz of the molding. If your paint shop use good paint, it won't be that easy to get chip on it. My experience with paint is that you get what you paid for.
