rear cargo net solution

I read a few post about how the OEM factory cargo net for the 370 is really a carry over part from the 350 and is too big. I had a extra cargo net from one of my other cars and gave it a try. The rear cargo net is from a 2009 Mini Cooper S. It works great! Here is a picture.

Try Penske Parts or a local Mini dealer. Many will discount 10%-15% if you are a BMW Club member.

Here is a link to Penske Parts. The net cost $59.17 before discounts.

Any idea on where to get the rear cargo cover like the Touring model? A local Nissan dealer quoted me $277 for the rear cargo cover.

Don't know, but I don't see no use for that rear cargo cover. All you need is to tint your rear hatch window.

BTW, you can do the tint for the whole car for that price and still have some left over. ;)

You'd have to limo tint the hell out of it!

tinting the rear hatch window doesn't keep stuff from being tossed around back there.

i remember a thread where someone posted a photo of the jdm cargo net that fit properly. any idea on how to order one of those?

I considered tint also. All of my cars are tinted except this one. Chicago has a lousy tint law even though tint is legal in the entire state of Illinois. The fine for tinted front windows in Chicago is $250 and I hear it is going up to $500! Tickets are being written for parked cars. I actually had to take the tint off one car before going to court to beat the fine.

Thanks for posting. That kinda looks really stretched. :ugh: is it really stretched or it's just the camera angle?

It is stretched. It is not so stretched and tight where nothing fits under it. Bags, boxes or a briefcase can fit under with no problems. I will take another photo of it without it actually being hooked on so you can see the un-stretched size.

any one have this cargo accessory? It is on my "to buy list" right below illuminated door sills....

Definitely looks pretty snug, but depending on your cargo, that can be a plus. Unless you're AK and lugging around a helmet and some other shit. I only carry a briefcase and a couple redbulls, so perfect for me. :D

Vader_Oz 03-05-2012 08:33 AM

Sorry for thread dig, but I just bought this from EBay for 25 GBP delivered to Australia.

Here is the part number: 2758542

I'm expecting it to "just work".

370guy 03-05-2012 08:02 PM

Someone uses the search button haha. But seriously thanks for reviving this I'm going to pick one up!

There are a lot of Nismo and Nissan JDM parts and accessories that aren't brought over here for general sale. Some of our sponsors do us the favor of bringing JDM parts and accessories to us and have small quantities for those of us striving to create a complete JDM look. The "Real" cargo net is one of them.
