Frost interior?

Just wondering...
Did anyone buy or opt for the frost interior?
It seems like every new owner has the black interior.
I wanted to see frost in person but no dealer has frost....

Is frost not that popular?

WShade 02-12-2009 06:32 PM

Frost is not a US option.

brisk 02-12-2009 07:06 PM

^ are you sure about that?
it showed on the nissan site and the dealers know about it...
the gray leather...
isn't that the same as frost?

frost 02-12-2009 07:52 PM

Take it from me, it's just called gray.

WShade 02-12-2009 07:56 PM

I ordered mine w/ Gray. Ok, I will give you that gray was previously called frost in previous years.

brisk 02-12-2009 08:14 PM

i really want to see this "gray" in person.
in the pictures it looks kick *** with the contrast.
ahhh..

WShade, what exterior color did you order that gray with?

do you guys think gray would look good with white?
ahhh any pictures? i googled...no white/gray combo.

WShade 02-12-2009 08:45 PM

Not as much of a contrast with the white but I love the two tone look with any color.

brisk 02-12-2009 09:26 PM

yea that two tone color is whats great.

SMcK23 02-12-2009 09:44 PM

brisk 02-12-2009 10:18 PM

Order it! I think white/gray would look good. Persimmon would be hot as well.

I have seen gray with blue, PG, silver & black. Looked great with all but the silver. The silver / gray has been at a dealer for a long time. My fear in the color would be how it would get dirty and wear. Opening and closing the door and legs wearing shorts would both cause for tough cleaning imho. It looks really good with the contrast and all though.

WShade 02-12-2009 10:39 PM

Its not bad at all and I would not let that deter you, anything can be cleaned. I have a light colored interior in my G with a 4 year old  and have not had any problems keeping it clean. But, I am also fairly anal ;)

par4bmw 02-12-2009 11:04 PM

I have had two cars with light gray leather and it has been ok for me. I would not want light color alcantara. I assume it is harder to get oils and soiled marks out of it than leather. Could be wrong though.

brisk 02-12-2009 11:31 PM

alcantara is im assuming the sueded type of material?

par4bmw 02-12-2009 11:34 PM

Yes, sorry - spent too much time in the bmw and audi world. German carmakers like to use alcantara vs synthetic suede to describe the material.

edit: Interesting, I just looked it up and it is a trade marked brand name of synthetic suede. I see it used a lot for luxury and performance cars/parts.

Dreamin'Z 02-16-2009 12:01 AM

par4bmw, that's exactly why it's easier to clean, it's a synthetic material like micro-suede. It has been pre-treated with all these oils and blah, blah, blah. It "SHOULD" by design fight of body oils and stains fairly easy with a very mild soap and damp cloth. My mom has it in here car and she use MR. Clean eraser to clean hers off when she washes the car. She hasn't had a problem with her's yet

Crash 02-16-2009 02:04 AM

Damn that Persimmon looks good with the white! :)

I've seen that combo in person. It looked okay, I thought it was a bit awkward. I think the white they use would look better w/ more of a tan. I really want to see it w/ persimmon.

Honestly, I would probably not get the gray w/ the white, but that's just my opinion.

Namir 02-19-2009 11:23 PM

How about black frost?

Typo - it's actually called gay.

You can have any colour, as long as it's black.

Crash 02-20-2009 03:07 AM

^^^ LOL! He doesn't like black. Everyone's entitled to my opinion. :D
