Splash Guards

The dealer where I purchased my Z just shipped out the splash guards I asked them for and at a quick glance, Im either half retarded, or they sent me the wrong splash guards. I quickly tried to see how they fit onto the body, but just could not figure it out, they didnt seem to fit no matter what way I tried (front, back, left, right)! I was planning on heading to my local Nissan to compare.

By the way I got the splash guards for free because my car had a scratch on it that I noticed once I brought it home. I wasnt gonna make a huge deal out of it, and Im pleased the dealer agreed to send me the splash guards that it didnt come with for free.

Can't even see as the pic is too small. It kinda douesn't look like they are the right ones. Fronts are really small and rears are a bit larger.

They don't like the correct ones. If things fall through with getting them from the dealer I'm selling mine. I just did the full nismo conversion to my body and no longer need them. They are black with only 3 months use on them. Send me a PM ill sell them cheap.

those are the correct ones.... the short brick looking ones go in the front.. the swoosh ones go in the rear.... dont worry about it man when i sold my mud guards to another z... he said it wasnt the one because it didnt fit..... when i showed him.... he starting laughing

Thanks simota, I took a closer look today and realized that yes, I must not have been thinking clearly yesterday testing the fitment, they sent me the right ones. I washed the car today, though it got too dark to put on the splash guards by the time I was done. Ill do it next chance I get along with the license plate mod (I finally got my license plate in the mail since I bought the car outt of state)

Splash Guards

I have only had my new Z for a week, but I can see that it needs splash guards, front and rear.

I looked at the oem guards but would like something more subtle. In other words, I want them to protect the sides of the car but I don't want to see them.

Too much to ask? Recommendations?

I finally took photos of the splash guards that I added. Keep in mind, that while they prevent dirt from splashing up and they are relatively subtle, I don't expect everyone to like them. I only show them here to demonstrate what is possible.

Extensive trimming was necessary for the front but not for the back. I attached them to the plastic fender liners so there are no holes drilled in the fenders themselves. They can be removed without a trace.

I can provide more pictures and purchase information if anyone is interested.
