Rust!!!!!!!!
 

Oh no...just noticed a tiny rust spot on the front bumper where it meets the fender. I think it may have been from a rock chip or some sort I haven't noticed before. Do yall think this will be covered by Nissan?!! I'ma give them a call tomorrow, but DAYM..I'm PO'd! Shouldn't have rust on a car that's only 14 months old!:mad::mad:

If it's from wear and tear (i.e. the rock chipping down to the metal), then no, it will not be covered by warranty.

how long is the corrosion warrenty on our car? It should be like 5+ yrs. Any corrosion should be covered but yea not on the bumper

I don't think that's going to cover corrosion due to a rock chip, though...

sometimes crap looks like rust. try cleaning and if it doesn't help, get thee to a body shop

Sorry to hear that but because of a rock chip i dont think they will cover it.. Its a Japanese car they use cheaper steel and they dont even galvanize it to prevent rust its going to happen. just hope the next chips you get are on your hood and not your fender as your hood wont really rust because its made of aluminum.

The way the rust is sitting..it doesn't seem like a rock chip incident; maybe a paint deformity(?)

I'm pretty close to my Nissan guys..so I'm sure they'll help me out.

14 months old?!! talking about my 3 days old. Pick her up on Sat., snow on Sunday, car got dirtied. Drove to work on Monday, got a car wash after work and realize i got a dent by the driver door toward the rear bender. paint got rip off roughly smaller than the size of a dime. Got so mad, i don't think it was the car wash causing it, I think someone is dent my door (d#$mm whoever!!), can't confirm it. I'm so pissed now:mad::mad::mad::mad:

P.S: i'm posting my pic tomorrow so you all can see...any suggestion how to cover that?

haha..yall are too funny. I didnt take a picture...it probably wouldn't show much anyway. And yea.I was gonna paint the car white but I changed my mind. I have a few simple plans, nothing major since I'm now looking at buying a new house.

Noticed the rust spot is actually on the fender line..not even touching the bumper :)

Sometimes crap on your car looks like rust, but infact, they're just... Crap on ur car...
I Noticed orange-ish red spots (super tiny, but definitely protruding outof the body) on my driverside AND passenger side door when I was washing my car and after a good scrubbing, polishing, wax, they went away. I thought they were rust in the begining too!

Dude. If you get a chip in the paint, you have to use touch-up paint before it rusts. If you don't, and it rusts...that's your fault. Why should the warranty cover it? Do you expect them to fix door dings, too?

judging by the pictures i think nissan might actualy cover it. It doesnt look as if its from a rock chip. You can probably get away with just saying the paint chipped off..

Daymn, I guess I always attract azzholes ^. I DO HAVE touch up paint BTW, and I never noticed it til I seen rust. Thanks for your non-useful information it's MUCH APPRECIATED! AND who said I had door dings?!! I already touched them up:p
