Tinted Tails/Heads Questions
 

Has anybody had any problems with the cops as far as tail light and headlight tint. I have a silver car and want to tint both for a more aggressive look.

Second, does anyone have any forum or google links to any our of cars with headlight tint, or tailight tint for that matter, but spec. headlight tint.

one more thing, would appreciate if anyone was an ex cop or has asked a cop to get a general consensus of how they view tint on our cars. I am in law school so I know the liability issue and the law, and I know its not a good idea, but neither is tinting windows dark and everyone does it and its looked upon with ease.

cops dont worry much about the headlight and taillight tint here in vegas i think..window tinting 35% is legal tint and you can get away with 20%. just roll down your window if you ever get pull over...knock on wood..

my tail light tint

hmmm i wonder how it would look with the tinted tail light on monterey blue?

I'm down in Naples, FL and I never had a problem with my tints. I have gotten a couple of speeding tickets and the cops never said anything about the tints on the lights.

I got 5% window tint, tail lights tinted really dark and blacked out headlights with 8000K HID's. Never been pulled over. I thought i was going to be pulled over the other day, cuz a cop was right on my rear bumper. And then i took a second look in my mirror and his lights were on, then when a lane opened up to my left he flew past me. Anyways heres pics of mine.

In the state of GA it is Illegal to tint the front headlights. The rear taillights can be tinted as long as they are visible at 300-500 ft in any light condition... I have been pulled over 3-4 times by the same cop :shakes head:. Its to the point of harassment if he pulls me over again. He knows my tint is legal and I have the darkest tint on the boards:

In for the answer...that is insanely dark (and sick on that car-imagine it on a magnetic black. :happydance:

My tailights were professionally painted by ArtCraft here in Ga... They do a FANTASTIC job at a Bargain!!!! If u want urs done right you have to give them a call.

ive seen his tails in person, they're stellar. paint+clear is definitely the way to go

I ordered bluebat's Gtr style tint so it's on it's way. I know this guy that paints & works on cars on Shirley St.

GTR style are pretty sweet.

I had Brian (used to work at autospa on Pine Ridge) do mine. He had the same vinyl that Bat uses, so I didnt have to order and wait. Brian does good work, and is price are very fair. Send me a PM if you want his number.

Im getting mine re-done right now because I couldn't even see my headlights on the back of the car in front of me lolol. It look like I have Demon eyes when I turn on the headlights because the tint is so dark. I went by a cop last night and this morning and I didnt get pulled over and I am in Virginia! I am only making them lighter because I cant see at night.

I have the tails on my expedition tinted as well. I recently got pulled over by Georgia State Trooper for window tint and because the license plate frame obstructed the name of the county (total BS stop).

Windows tested legal and he didn't even mention the tail lights. I think if you get them done professionally so they look like they came that way, you will be fine.

Mine are also Dark and have had no problems they are very bright despite the tint.These are JDM clear taillights.

Here is mine. and they are very dark as well, i have only had cops tell me how good my car looks. Also a pic of my headlights painted

The only issue I've ever had was when I moved from VA to MD and then had to get my Z to pass the state safety inspection. Otherwise, no problems to date in MD.
