bad experience with clear bra on bumper?

Hey guys.

I am about to go ahead with a clear bra package on the Z. I will for sure be doing the front fenders and hood half way up. And i really would like to do the whole front bumper as well but i cant believe that it will turn out good?

I will be using 3M Canada. so its not some joe blow shop doing it. the person who quoted me stated that it is all done by hand. But still i cant see how it will turn out looking good with no bubbles, creases or anything?

Anyone have any negative feedback from doing the front bumper?

How much is too much clear bra?

thx

Do the front bumper, half hood, half side panels(match the line with the hood), and mirrors. Installer is the key to the product looking good.

Never heard of the shop before but I do not recommend them cutting the film on the car. There are only a handful of installers that can custom cut film without damaging the paint. And really there is no reason to custom cut the 370Z bumper. Its a very easy bumper to work on and precut kits will be fine. If done properly there will be no bubbles or lines and you will not see the film on the car. Check out their work in person first before allowing them to work on your car. Look at the lines and se if they are straight or if there looks to be jagged edges. Jagged edges mean they cut the film on the paint and more then likely cut the paint up too.

As far as coverage goes the bumper is the main piece to get covered as it faces the road and takes the most rocks. The partial hood/fenders, lights, and mirrors is a good standard package to get. I would also recommend the rocker panles as well for the 370Z as they are getting beat up pretty bad.

What is the price difference between Full hood and half hood. I will get this when i get my Z but part of me doesn't want the line across my hood if its not too much more expensive. I can't imagine it being that much more money.... seems like the upper part of the hood isn't very challenging to lay the film onto it, as opposed to the bumper.

I believe 3m has certified installers.. make sure they have the certificate
