White Z - Glossy Black Vinyl Roof
Just put on a glossy black vinyl wrap last night, only took about 2 hours. They wanted 180 and to leave my car over night to do it around where I live, I paid $100 for the vinyl (have a bunch extra left over) and the tool kit with free shipping. Ill put more pics up tommorrow all I have is the one from my phone for now sorry.

Cool! How hard was it to do and where did you get the kit?
|
Was a lot easier than I thought. Def do it with 3 people though, I did it with one other person and at some points I really could have used a third. If your doing it on a 350 it will most likely be much easier, the roof contours on the 370 screwed me a few times. And when using the heat gun be real quick and before you use the tool to smooth out the bubbles let it cool, I have a few little marks (like 1/4" lines) where it looks like it was melted when I tried to push bubbles out. I got the kit from stickercity. Shipping to NJ took about a week

I'm looking forward to some better pictures.
These pictures will decide whether I go with a gloss black or a flat black on my roof. Thanks! Haha. |

Better Pics!
Wish I had practice on another car first, but I don't think it came out that bad for my first time.

good job. looks like a clean install. no white showing on the edges. did you tuck it under or take the side bits off the roof?
|
Yeah good work. If you didn't say otherwise I'm sure people would think you'd done it before easily.
I'm not a fan of the haziness.... Is that the norm with a product like this? |

if you want it glossy, after letting it dry for a week try some wax. :)
i use to wax my MINI's bonnet stripes all the time. very glossy like the rest of the car. |
How hard is it to cover the xm radio/navigation "fin" for people with the touring/nav package?

my installer spent roughly 30 minutes to get it down perfect |
@Mattkim85

but a cheap vinyl won't let air through, so it has the potential for problems. of course, it's cheap by definition, so if that happens you just pull it off and forget about it. |
Nice Job
will get my done later.. |
I make this overlay :). See my gallery below.

Thanks! I love it.
Every 370z SHOULD have a black roof IMO. http://carbonfibrevinylwrap.net.au/w...s/wppa/409.JPG Mike |
