Question about the pinch welds and adapters: So are slots in the adapters (or hockey pucks) deep enough so that the area SURROUNDING the pinch weld is being supported and the slow just keeps the pad in place. Or are the slots just deep enough that the weight of the vehicle is actually being supported by the pinch weld itself?

I ask this because it seems like the slots in most jack pad (pinch weld) adapters aren't deep enough to to reach the surrounding areas (ie, the weight of the car is on the pinch weld) however, I am seeing pictures of jack stands being placed BEHIND (well, to the inside) the pinch weld which I am sure the whole area is reinforced.

I've been using the custom "hockey puck" style for years without any issues and to answer your question, the groove in the center of the adapter is deep enough so the pinch weld does not touch the bottom of the groove. And yes, the area surrounding the is being supported by the FACE of the puck (or adapter)...

Does anyone know the distance between the lift points? If I am picking the right spots, it looks like 66". I am thinking about buying the Quickjack BL-5000EXT scissor lift and I think it should work. Does anyone have any experience with this one or can recommend a scissor lift they are using?

Just get under with tape measure. That's what I did before buying the 5000SLX. I measured center to center of pinch weld jack points.

EXT is extended length. Not sure, you have to measure.
