Original vs Chinese wing
I own a 2018 370z Nismo, and I want to replace the V2 Nismo spoiler with either a V1 Nismo spoiler, or a Voltex Type 8 Wing.
I am in the EU, so importing from USA costs a fortune. While looking at available wings, I also checked out the chinese parts manufacturers. There are wet carbon V1 Nismo spoiler and a Voltex Type 8 Wing at half the price they are offered in the USA. Has anyone ordered and installed them? |
Links and pics would help.

If you want a Nismo rep, Evo-R sells one that has/had good reviews or you can try Alibaba/AliExpress but make sure you use a verified supplier with a decent company history/reviews and easy returns. |

https://www.alibaba.com/product-deta..._1601386058772 And https://www.alibaba.com/product-deta..._1601391427118 Its mostly about the experience with such sellers. Fitment of aftermarket parts has been poor even with good reputation brands, so that is not a huge concern. Its more about visual, quality, and in the case of wings, performance compared to the "original" aftermarket. |
EVO-R is the closest you will get to a Nismo wing. However keep in mind that the end plate tips on EVO-R are at a different angle then OEM Nismo wing. EVO- R is also taller. Probably the same on Alibaba wings.
PS. Links don't work. EVO-R https://ccastro.smugmug.com/Automoti...DSC00029-L.jpg Nismo. https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/Iu0AA...58/s-l1600.jpg |

Voltex V8 Alibaba Nismo Variant Those are the two options style wise I consider at the moment. |
No comment on the first one.
The second one is just like EVO-R Wing. |
You're not getting an authentic Voltex wing from Alibaba
If you want to get an authentic Voltex wing, you need to go through an actual distributor or someone connected in Japan. RHD Japan, Nengun, Jesse Streeter are established options. Here is the official list of distributors from Voltex's site: https://voltexracing.com/dealers/ Since the V1 Nismo was sold in Europe, you may be able to find a used wing somewhat close to you. Check with your local used parts dealers. The knockoff V1 wings sold by EVO-R (or under other labels) have the same general shape but the ends angle more sharply downward. Now that I have an authentic and know the difference, the knockoff looks goofy to me. I echo others that are baffled why you're looking at US prices. |

Truth. I never paid attention until this thread. Replica is slightly taller with a steeper end plate angle. |
I've seen the replica in person and the differences are even more noticeable imo
could be that i have a Nismo one and live with it |
