Power sockets

Has anyone tried to power the FRONT socket (not console) hot to the battery? (im tlaking about the cigar lighter type)

My undertanding is, both are off the Acc or On ignition position.

Yeah, I am pretty sure that's correct. If you are looking for battery power you'll have to wire it up.
