370z NISMO Car Covers
FYI, a buddy in Nissan's HQ gave me these part numbers for covers for the 370z NISMO edition:
<table style="width: 355pt; border-collapse: collapse; margin-left: -0.65pt;" class="MsoNormalTable" width="473" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"> <tbody> <tr style="height: 21.75pt;" height="29"> <td style="border: 1pt solid windowtext; padding: 0in 5.4pt; width: 139pt; height: 21.75pt;" width="185" height="29" nowrap="nowrap"> 999N2ZWN00<o></o> </td> <td style="border-style: solid solid solid none; border-color: windowtext windowtext windowtext -moz-use-text-color; border-width: 1pt 1pt 1pt medium; padding: 0in 5.4pt; width: 3in; height: 21.75pt;" width="288" height="29" nowrap="nowrap"> NISMO Z Car Cover Blk Satin<o></o> </td></tr> <tr style="height: 21.75pt;" height="29"> <td style="border-style: none solid solid; border-color: -moz-use-text-color windowtext windowtext; border-width: medium 1pt 1pt; padding: 0in 5.4pt; width: 139pt; height: 21.75pt;" width="185" height="29" nowrap="nowrap"> 999N2ZWN01<o></o> </td> <td style="border-style: none solid solid none; border-color: -moz-use-text-color windowtext windowtext -moz-use-text-color; border-width: medium 1pt 1pt medium; padding: 0in 5.4pt; width: 3in; height: 21.75pt;" width="288" height="29" nowrap="nowrap"> NISMO Z Car Cover Silver Satin<o></o> </td></tr> <tr style="height: 21.75pt;" height="29"> <td style="border-style: none solid solid; border-color: -moz-use-text-color windowtext windowtext; border-width: medium 1pt 1pt; padding: 0in 5.4pt; width: 139pt; height: 21.75pt;" width="185" height="29" nowrap="nowrap"> 999N2ZWN02<o></o> </td> <td style="border-style: none solid solid none; border-color: -moz-use-text-color windowtext windowtext -moz-use-text-color; border-width: medium 1pt 1pt medium; padding: 0in 5.4pt; width: 3in; height: 21.75pt;" width="288" height="29" nowrap="nowrap"> NISMO Z Car Cover Silver Gd outdoor<o></o> </td></tr></tbody></table> BTW - I bought a nice one for ~$200 from customcarcovers.com before this and it fits pretty well. Hey guys if you are looking for a cover for your 370 Nismo look no further. After reading this post I called the local Nissan dealer and ordered the silver gd outdoor cover for my Nismo, it is awesome. It fits like a glove, the inside is made of a very soft felt material, it's dust & waterproof and covers the whole car. The price is $215.00 plus tax it took 8 days to get it and it's worth every penny. Thanks to Zinistr for the part number, the quality, fit and looks is outstanding I highly reccomend it to any 370Z Nismo owner without a garage. It comes with a bag, "Nismo" on the front and a clear panel for the license plate. I will send pics if anybody is interested.

I went to Nissan dealer today to check how much for a cover and they told me $350 for a cover

Here are some photos of the cover.

I picked one up and I am also very pleased with the quality so far.

Have the same! Love it. A friend of mine put the cover on when I was sleeping in the car... Couldn't get out lol
|
May have to throw it on the Christmas list.
Can you believe it's pretty much that time of year now already? |
Does this fit with Amuse body??

thanks for the info. just what I'm looking for.
|
Can you please repost the part number? did not show properly.
Thanks |
999N2ZWN00 is the black one and cost $381 from the dealer.
I am leaning toward the silver outdoor one, because It will not fade like the Black and slilver satin ones if exposed to the sun. |

Well the same Nissan black stretch satin for 381.00 at the dealer is
$250 delivered online . If it were just $20.00 difference,I would just get it from the dealer. |

I just got my silver outdoor cover and I'm having trouble getting it over the side mirrors. It almost seems like the cover is not wide enough. Is anyone having this issue or is there some trick I don't know about?
|
It is very tight to the mirrors, a perfect fit! I had my friend help me: start at the mirrors with them partially folded and kind of a "1 2 3 PULL!" Once it's on put the mirrors back out and go to the ends. You'll be very happy with the fit once you get it on.

Be careful with these covers in the sun... someone on the forum said that those license plate plastic windows melted to his car on a really hot day. You might want to tape up the inside of the window during the summer so if it melts it doesn't melt onto your car.

I'm trying to order the silver outdoor Nismo cover from NissanPartsDeal.com, but don't know the part number, and there are several to choose from. I also asked them if the cover has an inner fleece liner, but they haven't responded. Could someone with one of these covers chime in? Thanks!
|
NissanPartsDeal finally responded, and Nissan has discontinued the cover.
|
The CoverKing Noah works great for an outdoor cover (use one for my Nismo during winter). Cost around $200 on Amazon about 2 years ago so no clue what they go for now.

Thank you for your suggestion. I've been working through all the possible covers for a couple of weeks, and considering the pros and cons of each. Finally settled on a Weathershield HP last night. Not 100% sold, but it will probably serve my needs OK.
Seriously, these manufacturers need to get their act together, and offer a good design that fits snug in the wind. I was considering a universal cover because they come with a good elastic band around the bottom edge, but I also knew that mirror pockets would help keep the sides from flapping against the paint and, in general, offer a more secure fit. I don't think the Weathershield HP has an inner fleece lining, but I went with it because it is supposed to be the most gentle on paint...but...you also have to pay extra for the cinch clamps front and rear to secure the cover. I was shocked when I looked at the uber California Car Cover custom designs that just hang loose around the bottom of the car. What's up with that? I also purchased fitted nylon wheel covers to keep sand and black tire goop from transferring to the inside of the cover. |
