Instrument Panel Lighting

I have a 2011 Nismo. My problems that the instrument lighting during the day is very hard to see. Then I discovered that the lighting dose not change from night and day. They always stay in the night lighting level and look great at night. The light sensor does work. Is this normal to normal or do I have a problem?

Thanks, Jack

Jack, have you tried adjusting the brightness to maximum using the adjustment buttons on the right side of the speedometer?

Yes the brightness switch is set to max, no charge if the head lights are on or off. Are the dash lights suppose to get brighter with the head lights off? And Cooltoy thank you for the thread. My brightness buttons work and look great at night, can't hardly see the numbers during the day.

Does pressing the - button make it dimmer?

Sorry, it has taken me a bit as I thought a video may by better than words. One thing I did find out during day time driving the brightness do nothing. I have taken the video down.

I never changed the brightness during the day. There is a daylight sensor that decided when it's time to use the daylight setting or the night time setting. I have never touched those buttons.

Cooltoy, do your gauges light up any better (brighter) during the day time than what you see in the video?

I took the video down. Today I think I answered my question. Was it town today and found another 370z and the lady was nice enough let me check out her gauges. They looked the same as mine, wash out during the day time. Thanks for all your relays and trying to help this old guy.

Jack
