Retrofit heat and AC seat mechanisms to non heat and AC seats
 

Has anyone tried to install the heat elements and the AC cooling from seats so-equipped, to seats that did not come with heat and cooling options? So for example, if you have seats that have heat and air conditioning. Can you swap that into seats that do not have that in them.

So, you're trying to remove the heating/cooling parts from seats that have it, to seats that do not have it? Or you're trying to move the heating/cooling seats from a car that was equipped with them, to a vehicle that was not equipped with that type of seat?

Unless you just like spending money, I can't imagine it would ever be worth the trouble to install heating or cooling elements into a seat that wasn't designed for them.

I have the touring package, so I have heated leather seats. I would like to also have them cooled, but like Jar said, the cost will be high and I doubt it will be an easy job.

which models got cooled seats?

The roadster is the only one I'm aware of. I don't think they are heated though, but I could be wrong about that.

Ya verts get both heating and cooling functions on their seats. Just like the cousin G37, only verts have both.

My previous FX50 had both heated and cooled seats though.

I remember a couple members played with the idea of putting vert seats in coupe. I don't know if the projects came to fruition.
