Illuminated kick/sill plates

Could someone tell me which years/models have the illuminated sill/kick plates?

I need the wiring harness from the BCM to each sill/kick plate...anyone know where I can get this?

Thanks,
LannyL81

They're an option for any year model.

I have a wiring harness if you need it.

Well....appears that the wiring harness is already in place in my '18 Sport...how about that. I removed the driver's side panels, found this small white connector taped-up in a bundle under the kick panel....looked like the illuminated plate's connector would plug-in...so I tried it and it did...."Z" illuminates and then goes off when the dash lights go off after closing the door.

YEAH!!!

Anyways....Thanks for the reply and harness offer.

I was going to say check for the wiring. Most of the cars have it unless it's been damaged or removed.

Off subject, do you know if most z's come with the rearview camera harness?

The connector was under the plastic "c" shaped kick panel? I didn't check the drivers side but I pulled the passenger side and didn't see a plug. Did your's have a plug on the passenger side too or do you need to a harness to that side? Isn't the bcm on the passenger side?

The wiring harness includes both sides. It splits from the BCM to the passenger side (short) and the driver side (long).

I have been pulling a JARblue, I have a brand new set I need to install on my car. LOL I have had them since 2016.

So it already had all the wiring that goes behind the dash in place? I have a 2020 sport and was thinking about getting these. If that is the case then I will be getting them for sure

There were indeed connectors on both sides for the illuminated kick plates to plug into. These were not in a separate harness...as there was no "piggy-back" connector at the BCM (on the passenger side)...just part of the dash harness.

Something to note though: the illuminated plates I purchased were from Nissan with a different part number than the ones that come with the kit. The difference is in the wiring. The ones I got had a flat ribbon cable about 3/8" wide and this was at the front end of the panel, about 12" long....just long enough to reach the mating connector on each side.

The panels in the Nissan instructions and in the DIY threads had adding the "piggy-back" connector at the BCM, routing the harness to the left and right sides....with the harness connectors ending somewhere close to the rear of the panels...where they would mate-up with the connectors from the panels.

The part number I purchased was G6950-6GE0A...which is different.

Sooo....apparently at some point in the 370Z production, Nissan put the harness in....anyone happen to know when? Just curious.

I thought all 370Zs had a backup camera....it was just in two different locations dependent upon whether the NAV system option was present; otherwise it was in the rear view mirror.

Did this also get added later in the production run?

This is the part number I have also listed above. Hmm, I might have to get off my butt and put them in.

With not having to route a new wiring harness the install goes pretty darn quick. With the -6GE0A you do have to be careful with the flat ribbon wire out of each panel and with routing it over the pinch weld. I opened-up the weatherstripping just a bit where it goes over the flat ribbon.

Normally, yes they come with the wiring harness. It is easier to make one body harness for all the cars.

Well, I took the rear bumper cover off and I don't see it. Do they hide it somewhere?
