I don't need something fancy, but there seem to be the only tyhing that "matches"

I use an M45 OE AT knob, much smaller and is a direct replacement.

Nissan has an upgraded OEM AT shift knob that looks higher end than the stock knob that's available as an accessory.

You need a knob with a button to shift out of Park.

I went with a Momo shift knob.... same as the one in this thread:

http://www.the370z.com/diy-section-d...placement.html

You can find it on Amazon.. but caution... some of the reviews indicate that the product is not genuine Momo.

I ended up buying it from here:

https://momo.com/en-us/momo-shift-kn...utomatico.html

Install was easy.

Good luck

I'm a firm believer of the M45 knob. I rock it in my G.

I've been using the B2 Auto Designs shift knob in polished aluminum for a few years on my 7AT. I like the minimal look of it, the entire shifter pushes down to engage the parking mechanism.

After seeing a suggestion from Tractionless on another thread, I recently found a used M35 knob and trim ring on eBay that just arrived today. The leather has some miles on it and needs a little TLC, but it feels great in my hand! Keep in mind that I also installed a manual shift boot from a 6spd Z, so in that application it looks great! As far as I can tell, the M35/M45 knobs are the same, and installation is quite literally a snap.

Edit: This knob is from a 3rd Gen M. The trim ring is only applicable if you are using a shift boot, but one can probably get creative and make it work without.

35/45's are the same. I don't use the trim ring with the boot. I simply zip tied the boot to the white plastic part of the shifter and it bulges up to the knob leaving zero gap.

Where does post 2 say ALL?

2string1 07-27-2021 12:05 PM

I'm not going to get into this Google, Ebay thing. OK. I've done my research and came here for more info. So I'll move on as usual and get info from another forum. Search this and search that is not what I'm looking for. Thanks.

If you purchase the M45 or M35 knob pictured in this thread it will be a direct easy peesy no work, no greasy or bloody hands, go back to gaming on a phone fit.

If you did your own searching as I suggested you would have discovered there's only one, affirming your own question of "which one" rather than relying on internet strangers, who don't necessarily remember every detail of everything they ever did and shouldn't have to look it up just for lazy you.

Apparently that's too much to ask of you though, so run along to the other forum where everyone else got spoon fed the answers by their mommy/daddy and teachers. :gtfo2:

Ok, so in Japan, Autech releases some upgraded shift knobs. Here is an example for the Nissan Serena, where you can clearly see how it's an upgrade from stock:

https://minkara.carview.co.jp/userid...315/parts.aspx

When I was researching first party accessories to buy for my car a couple years ago, I came across the Autech automatic shift knob for the 370Z (and I would have brought it if I had an automatic). I was trying to find it online again, but I am not having any luck so far.

Maybe it's not available any more? I wish I saved the part number. Anyways, I remember it was higher end looking than the stock one.

I will keep looking when I have time.

For those who care. A very nice forum member on another forum shared this video on installing the R35 shift knob, so I thought I would share it here.

Just like all those "complex" unboxing video's taking up server space! :rofl2:

Does anyone know if the Infiniti Q50 or Q60 AT shift knob will fit the 370Z?

Got to laugh. If it was me that asked that question, you would be all over me...

Only because you would start a new thread to ask it ;)

THE BULL 09-17-2021 02:39 PM

There are limited options when it comes to the Z.

On the G the M shift knob is a perfect fit since it uses a boot already. The M just like the GTR without a boot just looks odd.

OP your're not going to get anywhere if you dont comfort to the forum you're in. These cars have been out for 10+ years and the forum momentum is already gone. Many of these things have been done and documented in the past which now make it difficult for new members since they have to bring a shovel and learn how to dig.

You're asking folks to shovel for you and or want to have a meeting to discuss how old subjects are not following your mandates.

Using the attempt of threatening that you'll find your info somewhere else is.... well sad since you could have done this and gotten to the point where there wouldnt be a need for you to make this thread.

Hope you're satisfied with what you found:hello:

I forgot new threads on repeated topics seems to really bother you. Oh, and asking a question on an old thread does too. I'll try to remember that. I personally think you just like to wind my clock. I made a bet with my friend that you would be the one to responded to my comment. LOL I won...
