Fujimura hood question....

I noticed on my stock hood there are 3 studs welded on the hood that goes into the hinge with a nut on each one and on the Fujimura hood there are only 2 threaded holes on the hood itself for the bolts to go through the hinge into the hood. Why is this? I'm assuming that the hood weighs less and they figure 2 bolts is enough.

Not related to your question; Im so jealous! Love that hood.

It's a defect, send it to me and I'll see if I can get to work on my car. Seriously though, check with Hotrodz, he had one on his car and would probably have a better idea

Actually, it's installed. Fits perfect. Thanks...

Give me some time for the pics. It is not CF and I'm having it painted, also it's going on a vert so you probably won't like it anyways.

That hood could be unfinished and mounted on a Ford Pinto and it would still look good :twocents:

It's going on this, color-matched. I'm trying to decide what to do with the mesh vents. Should I leave them stainless or go with black paint?

I could only find this picture of a grey z with black vents. If anyone can find a grey z with stainless vents please share.

I say black mesh unless you have other contrasting accent pieces that stainless mesh would accompany well.

The only thing I have is the logos and plate frame. Here is a couple of other views.

Black for sure with the black door handles and side marker lights

Black it is. Thanks for all your comments.

Late to the party. The Fugi hood is the best looking aftermarket for the Z. It is a perfect fit without any modification or adjustment. I agree with everyone else on the vent color. Enjoy the hood and get ready for many compliments and questions!
