RJM Clutch Pedal Install
1 Attachment(s)
Working on the installing the RJM Clutch Pedal and I’ve hit a snag. One of the nuts that holds the clutch pedal to the firewall is too wide and getting hung up on the housing. You can see what I’m referring to in the photo. Been working on it for the past hour, and just getting frustrated. Anyone else run into this when doing the install?

I see several potential solutions. It looks like the bolt hole in the pedal assembly is possibly large enough to slide the assembly over so the nut clears the lip. Or find a different nut with a smaller lip. Or add a few small washers that do clear the lip so the nut can tighten down.

The washer is actually molded to the nut, so it’s kind of frustrating I wouldn’t be able to use the factory nut as the instructions say. Also, the opposite mounting bolt to the right is not drilled in a way that it can be slid over. Really wondering if this is a production error.

I was able to get it, thanks to Ryan at RJM. Just had to keep moving the master cylinder and clutch assembly back and forth until there was enough clearance.

I had this exact issue, seems like a bit of an error when they were made to me.
I did get it on in the end, but seemed harder than it needed to be for no obvious good reason. |
