Ceramic or Standard Window tint
Hey guys, I will be retinting my car due to driver side peeling and rear has bubbles. Would you guys recommend me getting ceramic or standard tint. I got a quote for 300 for standard tint with removal or 500 for ceramic tint with removal.

If you can swing it, I’d say the ceramic tint is definitely worth it. First time I noticed it, I was driving through downtown LA on my way home...I lowered my windows to get some fresh air and didn’t think anything of it. I soon realized that my right forearm was getting warm and noticed the sunlight hitting it...I raised the right window back up and the temp change was noticeable and almost instant. So yeah, it’s worth it (sorry for the story)! |
How much did you pay for your tint? Is it bad if I retint again or does that not affect anything?
|
It shouldn’t affect anything (to re-tint).
I honestly don’t remember how much it was, but I’ll look up my records, if I can find them, but I think the pricing may change in different parts of the country. Good luck! |
Sounds like the first tint job was not good. Have ceramic window tint installed it’s worth every penny. Check out www.thetintpros.com in Costa Mesa they do top notch work!

I’ve got ceramic in my Z and I had it put on my GF’s civic. Local shop here ran $300.
Taking that old tint and residue off cost a lot. I had that done on my 350 before and it almost doubled my price. |
Metallized screws up radar detectors, ceramic messes with laser detection. Pick your poison.
