stillen front bumper developed two large dimples - any possible fixes?

Hey guys I ended up buying this bumper last year for about $700. Stillen didnt want to help me out with sending me a new bumper after messing with it the first month I had it. At this point I'm just going to try and make it work. The biggest problem I have with it is there are two large dimples that have formed on it.

I know I could probably heat it up and reform it but I have a feeling it will go back as soon as its been reinstalled. The only thing I can think of is to make a metal support underneath it. I would have to attach that support onto the body of the car I suppose. Any thoughts?

I really wish you had searched before buying this. This thing has been out for nearly a decade (came out around the launch of the car) and has always had fitment issues. IIRC, folks had to hack the damn thing up to get proper fitment

Sadly, it is one of the most effective performance bumpers around, as its large openings let in tons of air and they are guided to the right areas. most track people that use it don't care about poor fitment since it's gonna get beat up while driving anyways at that level

For a show car or a DD where you want it to look "right" . . . roll up your sleeve and get to work or pay a shop.

Sorry man. If you don't want to fix it, it is best to sell the thing to a track rat. I am sure someone will want it because it really does work in that context

tough luck

Yep. The bumper and/or material is very thin and/or very soft. It literally cannot support it's on weight. Your lucky they formed after time, mine came like that new, not to mention it's about 2" too wide.

Its a good functionality wise bumper but it's manufactured like garbage. And I think it's BS that those little wings at the sides being for shipping purposes, others can ship a full bumper, why not Stillen. I think it's so poorly formed that those help cover up the error.
