Front End Mask:$230 Colgan vs. $125 OEM vs. $80 LeBra

Greetings again :tiphat:. This forum is fantastic.
OK...Any input why a Colgan is so much more than the next lower brands? I'll pay the extra if it has something over these (and other) makes.

Very few members here would be caught dead putting a bra on a 370Z, so you might have trouble getting an answer to your question.

I agree. Even my wife is telling me it will look childish. Starting at $1200 for PPF (clear bra) is prohibitive. I want the protection now: three miles of dirt + gravel road, bird deposits, and now love bugs on their way. Later on down the road, I plan to buy some PPF sheet stock and attempt to install it myself on my rocker panels. Depending how that goes, I'll work my way to the front end by sections.

Gotta pay to play :driving:

If you're ok with the ugly bra for a time, more power to you. It will save your front end while you save up for a proper clear bra. But you'll probably need to search The Google for the info you're looking for about it. It is not on this forum.

You getting $1200 from all your local paint pro places?

xpel clear bra really is the best route

$1200 sounds like for a full front coverage. Just go with standard front which offers more coverage than a naugahyde bra with a lot less money.

Yes, that's probably full hood, bumper, fenders and mirrors. A bra that you are looking to buy will not cover all those anyway.

I might get a hard time from some in here for suggesting it, but I may use it on my emblems this weekend, but plasti dip has a glossifier spray that’s clear. Maybe a few coats of that on the front and in places you want to protect is a short term solution?

I’m not sure how well it will hold up to rock chips or several washes and scrubbing off bugs, but it might be worth researching as a short term option. I’m sure there are plenty of videos about doing this with results.

Like OptionZero said Xpel is the best to go with. Bras of the 80s are long gone. They can do more harm than good. One thing you can do to help out until you get a clear bra is use a good wax and ceramic coat on top. Now it won't stop you from getting chips but it will defiantly help.
