SRS Light Constantly Blinking
I jumped started my 370Z, drove around to rejuvenate the battery to find that the air bag light constantly blinking. I disconnected the battery and it still continues to blink the entire time I’m driving. Does anyone know how to reset/resolve this?

Disconnect the battery and let it sit for 30min. or so. Connect it back up and see what happens.

If you step on the brake pedal, it only takes a second or two to completely drain the system. Keep your foot on the pedal for, say, 10 seconds, just to be sure. If that doesn't make the light go away, get an OBD tool and see if any PIDs are present. Do a web search for the PIDs and/or post them in this thread. Many auto parts stores will loan you an OBD tool; some will even walk out to your car and grab the PIDs for you. If you plan on working on your car, you can buy simple OBD tools for $20-40. |

There are two ways:
(1) - Free and a little difficult (2) - Easy and ~$50 for an OBD scanner, OBD Fusion and the $15 enhanced diagnostic add-on (1) The free method is from the factory shop manual, in the SRC section. Without any tools you can read the code by counting the airbag light flashing and clear it. Here are the steps to get the SRS module in diagnostic mode: http://www.the370z.com/attachment.ph...1&d=1581737236 Then look up the flash code in the SRC section. -OR- (2) Use OBD Fusion to read and reset the code: Good luck! |
