Sticky Dash

My car started to develop the stickiness on the dash after about 4 years. I am curious if the later model cars (2014-2015 or later) have similar problems?

I'm hoping that Nissan has improved the dash materials so that the dash replacement would last.

Thanks, I have read those posts.

I am just wondering if the later model Z's have the same issues.

I'd suggest maybe aiming somewhere other than the dash, if your driving so excites you.

How did it take 4 years before developing stickiness?? My dash started becoming sticky within days of purchase. :ugh2:

You have an 2015 model? That's the first I heard from a new car has this issue.

I doubt Nissan changed anything for new years. Not economical.

I have a 2013 and no issues. I can say our cars don't like to be closed up for long periods of time or to have anything besides a damp cloth to clean the dash. Just my observation.

nis350 10-15-2019 12:54 PM

that is a good suggestion.

It appears that not all dash have the sticky issues. I am curious if it was related to different manufacturers. Perhaps the process and/or materials were slightly different?

Our 2009 G37s has very similar materials and it is in perfect condition.

To those having the sticky dash issue invest on a quality dash mat.

Or start supplying your Z with a healthy stash of socks. :tiphat:
