Fit the hood pins then cut off the area where ever the hood pins are to make fitting on the new hood faster

This hood is surprisingly resilient. This is after 20 or so swings with an axe. Makes me wonder how the hell they damaged it. THM confirmed they will refund me the cost. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...1e5d38817e.jpg

LOL! That’s amazing! It really doesn’t look that much worse! Try the 12 gauge!

Funny you mention that.. I sent the pics in and was told Seibon usually wants it cut in half. I asked if I could just shoot it - a lot.

Pics, or it didn’t happen!

I would wear a mask if you are going to take a saw to it. Breathing carbon fiber particles (dust) can be hazardous.

Amen to that! I had a mask and face shield and all that jazz. Sawzall made a nice clean cut

What a waste. I know they told you to destroy it, but they were small imperfections. Certainly someone would have been ok with it.

Even if they sold it at 50% off, and paid for shipping, they would still be ahead.

Oh well, its a wasteful society and obviously not economical for Seibon to process it.

Again, not blaming you whatsoever.

The freight company is liable for the damage, and my guess would be that the insurance settlement between Seibon and the shipper requires the product's destruction. ****ing lawyers..

Try running over it with a car? Maybe make some home-made explosives?

I was considering covering it in steak juice and letting my dog at it... but there wouldn't have been anything left of the hood to document.

Looks like the most satisfying part of your experience with Seibon.
