2009-2014 Z Speed undershroud

Damn, I went to order an undershroud for the 2014 Nismo I just bought and they are $189.00 or so for all years base and sport and the same for the 2015 and up nismo. The 2009-2014 model is $399.00. It just couldn't be easy. :rofl2:

Yeap, they have additional pieces added on. It is still cheaper than buying the factory plastic/carbon.

Yep, it's a lot larger. Not complaining, it's a great product. Unfortunately, they're on backorder and won't be available for at least another month. Worth the wait, the stock one is ridiculous.

Well if you added the APR front diffuser on the stock undershroud would that be better than the z speed? I think the sema 370z has that apr.

:rofl2::rofl2::rofl2:

Who you kidding. You have to use the Zspeed undertray with the APR splitter. The splitter only goes so far back. Draw a line at the front bottom corner of wheel well to the other side. That is far as the splitter goes. The Zspeed undertray helps support the splitter. The stock tray doesn't. I've been playing around with installing the splitter for a couple of months now. :eek:

You need to install 3 rivet-nuts in place of the 3 plastic clips in the center of the tray to keep it from rattles and to give it more support.

You can thank me for the thread. :tiphat:

Just asking as i have been toying with the idea of adding nismo undertray or the apr too. I cant really decide which one cause they are both expensive. I am really trying to save where i could at this point. This platform is so expensive to mod with very little return/gain. The z speed looks like a better option but the apr has less weight so if it could provide same aero dynamics it might be a good idea that is why im asking but obviously the z speed provides more structural rigidity.

I would get the APR splitter until I hit that first dip in the road, hear the scrape, feel it as a piece of it splinters and falls off bouncing against the undertray of car, muddling it's way through the rear suspension and finally, seeing it settling on the road in my rear view mirror as I cry...

I tried placing the order for my undershround the first week of April. Joe said they were on backorder and he would have them in a month. I contacted him the first week of May and they were in. I paid $399.00 and with shipping it came out to $456.00. I was just looking at their site and now they're on sale for $349.00. Makes me wonder when the price changed. Sure would have been nice if he would have told me that in a week or two that they would be going on sale. Kind of disappointing. I've ordered 2 clutch kits and another undershroud previously from him. I'm getting ready to order another clutch kit for my Nismo from him (maybe).

Call him and ask what's up with the sale. Maybe he will help you out. FE Designs did me good when I bought the canards. :tup:

I may give him a call. After having to wait a month it just would have been nice to have seen that discount just due to the wait time.
