Window wont wont auto down on door open.

Hey guys I replaced my speakers awhile ago and accidentally broke the window switch when trying to pop it off the door panel. I found this out after testing the window motor and regulator. I have done the reset procedure to make it auto down and open all the way so I'm good there. I have lined up the glass as close as possible to the passenger door so when its closed its flush and there's no wind noise. My problem is the window is not dropping like it's supposed to when the door is opened. I dont know what it's called so I cant Google it and anything I try to search just brings up people who dont know how to window reset. Please help me. I can fix pretty much everything on a car and I'll only go to the stealership as a last resort.

Edit: Just tried the anti pinch function and it's not working either. Looking through service manual and it might be the encoder. I have a spare regulator with motor attached I might try if no one else knows.

Reset

Hey, Pwny:
Have you tried resetting the window function? It's a simple procedure that's required after monkeying with windows. I know there are instructions on this forum. I'll see if I can find them...

Is the door open switch working? If the car doesn't realize the door is open it wouldn't drop the window.

My bad

Just looked more closely at your post, and it looks like you did reset. Just to be certain, I've posted the reset instructions below.
Meanwhile, have you checked the switch that the door contacts when it closes? If that switch isn't working, or out of alignment, or if the wire's broken, the auto-down function won't work. It's easy to test just by pressing it with your finder.
Here are the reset instructions:
Turn on the car without starting the engine, roll the window down all the way, then hold the window switch down for about 5 seconds. Roll the window up all the way, let go of the switch then hold the window switch up for about 5 seconds. Youll hear a click. Youll find that the window doesnt respond right after doing this. Itll take about ten seconds before they start working again.
Then do the same for the other window.

If the reset does not work and assuming you've checked your door connections, try disconnecting the + battery terminal wait a few seconds and reconnect. Should work like a charm.
