Tamon Design widebody concept

Tamon Design is notorious for their FC3S RX-7 widebody; and IMHO they should be. Honestly, I do not think that their designs are the best, but I respect their orginality and I appreciate their sense of innovation.

I have only seen Tamon Design quality a handful of times in person so I cannot make a credible statement regarding their quality. From what I have heard, they offer good quality products with minimal (if any) fitment issues.

My knowledge on this is limited at the moment but I will try my best to update this thread with info as it is made available to us.

AND NOW FOR THE PICS!

Here are a few other designs they have created over the years:

Wow...that looks pretty aggressive. I am a sucker for widebody kits.

A lot of things look good in pictures but silly in real life. With that said I am loving the front bumper.

Will be interesting to see how that drawing turns into a real body kit.

happiest front bumper next to the mazda 3 lol

I like that they go for the organic shapes rather than the hard edges.... Nature likes round edges... I think thats going to be the next big thing for car designers...

As far as execution goes...the S2k is fine. The others...eh...meh.

I would expect that to be very close to the production design. It follows many of the same cues as the s2k kit. I would like to see if I could photoshop a real render of that kit hmmmmm. I got some HW to do

I was interested in seeing more of the s2k widebody kit, so I googled "Tamon Design widebody s2k"

Under images, this popped up. I like it.

that s2000 is gorgeous...it just has such a nice flow to it! and I'm not a big body kit person, but man, I would love to see how that would look on the Z.

CBRich 01-05-2010 06:48 PM

Wow. That blue 370 widebody is amazing. I know I've got a credit card around here somewhere that's not maxed out. LOL.

Jon Sibal is pretty amazing as an artist. You guys should check out his other work on Deviantart. Here is his info on his blog about the rendering: JONSIBAL Blog Archive WIDEBODY Z34 He also happens to work as an inker on Superman.

As for the Tamon Design kit. I love the design and appreciate the organic nature of it. It does feel a bit Mazda to me, but then anything with those Geiger-esque curves does.
