2016 Sport to Nismo conversion

I love the look of the older gen nismos (2009-2013).

Has anyone ever done this? I am trying to get a rough estimate of the costs.

JARblue 02-11-2019 02:39 PM

Nope. Never. There hasn't ever been a thread started on this topic

I've tried searching, can you please provide what you typed in the search bar so I can find it for myself?

FPenvy 02-11-2019 02:54 PM

but thats the awful lookin nismo...........

this is why people all want the 15+ conversion and there's kits for it lol

now, the technical "can it be done" question i believe is yes. why would it not be. if the 15+ goes right on the 09-14 then it'll work the other way. you'll need the usual nismo fender liners and under-shroud along with bumper of course.

I like it better :)

Maybe thats why I'm having such a hard time finding a thread for it

You're working backwards compared to most people, which is probably why you're not finding specific details for your conversion. But should be doable like FP says. Probably looking at around $1500+ to do it right. Could probably half-a$$ it for a lot less.

probably because a 2015 rear bumper is 360 vs 1450.

and the 2015 front bumper 500 vs 600 for the old one.

thats without paint, fender liners, under shroud, and emblems etc.

thats one spot. i'm assuming with your good friend google you can find more.

I would watch the for sale forum and also hit up car-part.com for and used/junked Nismo parts

As FPEnvy said, Z1 is just one spot, shop around

There's no reason why you can't do it, all the parts fit. It just comes down to sourcing the bumpers and crap underneath

That version of the Nismo was produced from '09 to '14 so there are alot of them out there to steal parts from

Note also that the 09-14 Nismo rear bumper is much larger than either the base or the 15+ Nismo. it hangs much lower . . . probably not to really justify 1500, but just mentioning there is a difference

yeaaaaaa i did some curiousity searching.......1450 is a good price new lol

nissan still charges 1790 for old nismo rear without paint. even with my dealer account discount taken off of that i still wouldn't even want to lol WTF?

OP, go get the 2015+ nismo F/R conversions. it's cheaper and looks soooooooooo much better in 98% of peoples opinions lol or if you must go old, go to a junkyard or insurance auction parts place and pick one for a couple hundred.

Just for ***** and giggles . . .

Aimgain rear bumper is $1250 (but you'll get b0n3d on shipping + wait time from Japan)
