Disappointed with Stillen Front Bumper

2 Attachment(s)
So I installed a Stillen front bumper this spring and it looked great for the first month or two. Then I noticed that the front slope of the nose started to sag and now it has a definite warped appearance on the nose. It's pretty obvious in the pictures. The polyurethane they use is a very soft and flexible type, which helps during the fit-up, but can't hold up to the summer sun, which is not that hot in Ontario! It also weights a full 12 lbs more than the stock bumper. I emailed Stillen about it, but of course got no response. Not impressed!

Mike785, that's too bad you are having this issue. There are numerous posts regarding the sub-par quality and awful fitment of the Stillen bumpers, spoilers, etc. I would definitely keep pressing Stillen for some sort of amicable solution. Do not give up!

Yeah,

I was put off with their version 1 imperfections and those were supposed to be improved with ver 2 mind you this was years ago so Im not sure IF your is an early version old stock?

At this point the only fix IF which I guess Stillen won't really claim any responsibility is to have a stiff piece of metal bar/plate epoxied across the top underside as a support so that doesn't sag.

Thats just too bad you have to deal with this after all the work and $ has been spent to have it look good

This is why I bought a Nismo with the factory body kit. Aftermarket body kits very rarely fit correctly and have the longevity to stand the test of time. I would just replace the stillen bumper with a Nismo bumper and be done with it.

That's always been the rep for this bumper. EXTREMELY functional since airflow is excellent, but fitment is ****.

Basically track car is best, street not so much

I'm really sorry you're going thru this and it amazes me how they will not respond to you, typical for them. I want to thank everyone on here who have posted about stillen and their junk front bumpers, saved me a lot of grief. I've stuck with what she came with.

Man that sucks, looks like some Fatty sat on your car.

Definetly keep trying to contact Stillen & whoever you ordered from if not direct.

Best of luck to you.

That really sucks, I had my issues with them too.

I have nearly a 1" gap on each side. They actually told me to leave it in the hot sun prior to installing it to better flex and mold it in to fit and to get the sagging to mold back to shape. It's a really crap product but I do love it's ability to keep the car cool on a hot track day.
