2 Attachment(s)
Fender Vents details are now available for Pre-Order now.
Message us if you have any questions.

MSRP: $800 (Pre-order Discount available)

• A minimum of 30 committed orders required before production can start.
• The Fender Vents will be made using Prepreg (Dry) Carbon Fiber – which is the same material used in Formula 1 chassis and body panels. Unlike wet lay-up Carbon Fiber, Prepreg is superior in both appearance and performance.
• Fender Vents are designed in 3D CAD software with a Laser-scanned 370z fender.
• 3D Printed & Carbon Fiber prototypes are test fitted and track tested (Seen in 2016 Super Street Continental Tire Shootout).
• Metal Molds will be made using 3D CAD files with a CNC for accurate dimensions and consistent results.

Deposit Amount (2 options available):
o Option 1: $500 (Discount: $300 Off MSRP)
o Option 2: $325 (Discount: $150 Off MSRP)

o A minimum of 30 committed orders are required. If the minimum order quantity is not met by 7/4, full deposits will be refunded within 30 days.
o Once production has begun, refunds cannot be request. In the event we have any production issues and cannot deliver your part, we issue the deposit amount.

Timeline:
o 6/3 – 7/4: Pre-order period for first batch.
o 7/4 – 8/22 (45 working days): Production of mold and sample part test fit
o 8/22 – 10/17 (45 working days) First batch of Qty: 30 will start production
o 11/1: Orders shipped

The website (FE-Designs.com or finiteelementdesign.com) will be refreshed this week to track number of committed members & status of this product.

Have you looked to to putting this on the g37? or does this fit the g37?

yaoxiao4 06-05-2018 11:29 AM

very interested... so this would help with the turbulent air and what other benefits? brake cooling?

OptionZero 06-05-2018 11:43 AM

Can't see how much it cools the brakes, but it probably helps engine temp and aero

It's pretty cool, but I'm a little confused. If you run a fender liner, isn't there really no aero benefit? And if you don't run a fender liner, does road debris get shot all over the car through the vents?

maybe could mesh the vents, or would that also destroy airflow?

This helps with reducing lift from the turbulent air generated around the wheel. The highest pressure point is at the top. It will also help with brake cooling since it also allows air to exit.

There will be a need to modify and cut the fender liner to allow air to exit.
Our car that gets driven often on the road and tracked often fortunately hasn't seen debris kicked up through the vents.

Closest experience was driving thru a huge pool of water at Laguna Seca and water shot up thru the vents at slow speed. Debris usually has some weight to it and kicks back towards the door than up.

30 people might be tough to get.

Cool. So some paint protection film on the door would be all I would need to keep the side of the car from getting sandblasted?

Post your front splitter and Canards please. I have your Carbon Nismo brake cooling ducts. Also, do you have something to provide more air to the front area, Radiator and intercooler for boosted folks. Rear wing too.

We understand, that's why we are giving huge incentives for the people pre-buying the first batch.

These 30 people can be a combination between both 350z and 370z owners.

Unfortunately making a quality product with dry carbon fiber with a CNC machined metal mold, there must be a minimum qty order to justify for the initial up front cost.

Aside from looks, it's a functional part and been track tested, featured in the 2016 Super Street Continental Tire Challenge Shootout. The development of these vents goes back to 2yrs+. We hope that there's enough interest and support from the Z community for us to bring these Fender Vents to production.

We're open to hear any feedback and suggestions. Thanks!

Sonoma Raceway (Infineon) Rain

Here's a photo of the Z in extreme rain condition at the track. Heavy rain or road debris with some weight will still kick backward towards the end of the car. Where as high pressure turbulent air built up is still escaping at the top/rear end of fender.
